I had some work done on my wedding band and engagement ring at a “chain” store, and it was horrible! The only way I can describe the outcome of what was done to my ring is to say it was a monstrosity, and I don’t understand what was thought of to allow my ring to come back to me looking that way. From the moment my husband and I walked into the Mueller Jewelers, we were given great customer service and had the pleasure of working with Gary. Gary took one look at my ring and actually almost cringed! I explained to the best of my ability and showed him a picture of what the engagement ring looked like prior to the “chain” jewelry store trip and if there was anything he could do to help. This is the part that had me feeling confidant about choosing the right place to go: Gary explained to me what he assumed happened, and actually gave me his magnifying tool to look at my ring while he explained to me the issues he saw! Then he went into detail explaining what he would need to do, along with what tools he would be using and how he was going to fix my ring. I haven’t been to many jewelers, but the ones I have been to have never actually explained anything more than minor details. I was ecstatic that he said he knew what to do and seemed confidant that he could get my ring back to beautiful. Gary told me a little bit of his work history as well as a back story for their store, which did nothing but further my confidence and excitement at finding the perfect jeweler we needed. Gary had my ring for a week before setting to work on it, he wanted to make sure he could give me the proper estimate and make sure he could take care of the damage done. Then had my ring for a little less than a week longer to complete the task. I picked my ring up today and was over the moon! I initially went into the store to look for a gold ring for my daughter’s golden birthday. I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of inventory and variety of different jewelry pieces! It honestly rivals any other jewelry store I have ever shopped in. I ended up finding the perfect gift in a case that showcased estate jewelry. I also learned a lot about how things are made, services that are available there, etc, just by listening to the employees interacting with other customers. Such knowledgeable and passionate people. They love what they do! Today I picked up my wedding ring set after having some repair work done. I hadn’t worn the rings for several years out of fear I would lose one of the stones due to wear and tear of the prongs. I had previously gotten a repair estimate that really was cost prohibitive. Out of curiosity I brought it to Mueller Jewelers to see what they would charge. Once again I was shocked and very pleasantly surprised with their estimate. For my 40th birthday my husband and I went to another local jeweler and “upgraded” the center stone in my wedding ring. I didn’t love the way it was set in my ring so like the true Minnesotan that I am, rather than telling the original place I was unhappy I began my search for a different jeweler. That’s where Mueller’s comes in and where the story takes a turn. Amy discovered that although I had paid for a 2.5 carat lab grown diamond what I had actually received was a moissanite. I was absolutely devastated. Amy, Carrie, and the entire staff were amazing. I had never purchased anything from them and they still spent a lot of time helping us navigate our next steps. After the dust settled I decided that I wanted a fresh start. Amy helped me pick out the most amazing replacement ring and they are going to restore my original ring back to how it was prior to the “upgrade” so I can wear it on my right hand.
