I came here by chance, as Octoberfest was being hosted at this location, and I enjoy a juicy bratwurst paired with a stien of frosty lager as much as the next guy from Ze Deutschland. After a few pints with friends, we ventured into the forest, on the alleged "haunted trails" to see what all the fuss was about. Let me tell you, I'm not a superstitious man, but a chill ran up my spine as we ventured into the enveloping darkness. Perhaps it was because I am an Indian outlaw. Perhaps because I'm half Cherokee and Choctaw. Whatever the reason, I felt as though the woods were indeed haunted as advertised. Ā Ā Ā Read moreamazing hiking trails during the winter! one is consistently mowed, but the rest that are for biking and some random ones do get a bit overgrown, but never over 10 inches. dogs are always supposed to be on a leash! it says there are horses there but iāve never seen any haha. moderate littering, but itās minimal. unfortunately TICKS are a big problem in the summer. the infestation was so extreme there would be over 20 seed ticks on my ankles and socks when i was walking on completely mowed grass. and way more than that on the 4 inch grass my dog had ticks falling off of him in waves since i couldnāt get them all. i really really love those trails, but the ticks are a dealbreaker. great in...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy family and I enjoyed Choctaw Haunted Forest! It was worth the money! Everyone involved there did a wonderful job! The "scary" characters in the forest were great! Especially the girls by the camp fire.....sneaking up on us in the corn maze! Bravo! Got me! And whom ever had the chainsaw. ...yep...got me!! Great scary experience! I give a very high 10! Thank you all!!! Oh.....the scariest part...lol...was the young boy at the ticket booth....when he proudly announced that it was $100 to enter....scared my wallet to death! Happy...
