I cannot get enough of this place! The salsa is to die for! I have traveled the globe, to include Mexico repeatedly, and their salsa truly stands up against the rest. Not to mention their superb customer service.. the time of day doesn't matter; you are always greeted and treated with enthusiasm and respect. Today, I tried something I had never had before; the chicken soup, and damnit!!!!....if I didn't choose the best thing on the menu! Kenzi (I hope that's her name...she was phenomenal) sang its praises. And she was absolutely right! That soup is probably the best soup I've eaten in my 40 years on this planet. So tasty, fresh and bold. You can literally eat it with your eyes. Everything you see, you taste. It is hands down, probably the best thing on their menu. I've had plenty of things that I enjoy greatly, to include the chalupa, but the soup is by far, superior. Don't sleep on this y'all. You must try it! Thanks for always giving great customer service with even better tasting food! I am new to Choctaw but now a customer for life! I've been more than 10 times in less than 2 months and don't anticipate slowing down anytime soon. ALSO!... You can order their chips and salsa, or guac, or even Margaritas to go! We did just that for a party we hosted at my house and the salsa was the talk of the party. We definitely sent new customers their way based on the superb taste of what we served that night. Well done Los Aztecas! Can't wait to...
Read moreOur first impression was really good. We got the "choriqueso" dip as an appetizer and it was tasty. I'd like to see its price come down by about a dollar but it's a buck, so... I got the Los Azteca special, which were fajitas with beef, chicken, shrimp, and a slice of beef short ribs. My wife made her own combo with a chile relleno and a tamale. We drank waters. The chips were fresh and the salsa was different and good. My wife definitely won our meal competition because her relleno and tamale were outstanding. Mine was really good, with everything cooked to perfection, but it was curiously bland like the cook forgot to season it. Salt & pepper helped, and I'm going to amp up the spices when I heat up the leftovers at home. The service was great, with a large number of staff circulating, but they were slammed tonight so we got off to a slow start. I brought the lack of spices up and I felt like I was heard. Can't ask for more. Our meal was $35 plus tip. Did I mention they make their own tortillas?? Wow. I've eaten some in my day, and these may be number one. So overall they get four stars because of the blandness, but we'll return soon to try different meals....
Read moreNever had eaten there before but it's a "no" for me. Ordered a to go for 3 of us, 2 classic fajita dinners and a taco salad. First of all, the to go containers have no dividers in it and very flimsy everything leaked out inside the bag because they just threw it in there. The beans, rice, and condiments for our meal we're in a separate container and all mixed together because of the containers shifting and crushed on top of each other. The meats were chicken and steak mixed and I swear they were boiled! Neither meat had any grill marks on it, and was not even cut a acoss the grain. The beef was not flank steak but chuck roast with fajita seasoning thrown into the water. Worst of all was that they left out the flour tortillas! I called and spoke to the manager asking how are we supposed to eat this? What's the since of eating a fajita with condiments on it and no tortillas? Going back is not an option because I'd be looking at 14 miles round trip. So disappointed in the manager's answer was to give me a free queso next time I come in. I do not expect food for free by any means, but my $50 should have been discounted. If I had dined in, I...
