This wonderful museum is situated at the location of the holding cells after the Christiana Uprising, within the old Zercher's Hotel, and is a meaningful gem of true history on the path to freedom for enslaved Africans in America. The museum's docent is an incredible historian who's ancestor was involved in the uprising, and is available to tell often overlooked details to our nation's history. It is definitely worth a visit in a sweet, tucked away town, that is easily accessible just off of Route 41. From the underground railroad, to the Zercher's Hotel, where the museum is located, to the location of the old Riot House (marked with a sign), there is so much to see and learn.
