Marshalls — Attraction in Citrus Park

I went shopping about 10 minutes ago at this Marshalls location, Friday, November 14th at 11:40 AM, and I was assisted by the cashier at register number 1. I asked the woman if there was any possibility of getting a discount on a product I was purchasing because it didn’t look new. The box was not only opened, but completely damaged. What I was asking for was either a new item in proper condition, or a small discount on that one.

She told me she didn’t think they would give me a discount, but she went to ask someone with a higher position. That person told her yes, that it was fine. When the cashier came back, she told me no — that she wasn’t going to give me any discount and that I could either take it as is or leave it.

At that moment, the manager appeared and asked her if she had already given me the discount, but the cashier interrupted her and quickly said “yes, yes.” So I asked her, “The manager was going to give me a discount and you decided not to?” She then told me she was the assistant manager and that she didn’t make those decisions — and she said it in a very rude manner.

Honestly, I don’t think it’s fair to pay full price for a new product and be given one with a destroyed package. If they had given me even a 99-cent discount or exchanged it for a new one, I would have been satisfied with the good customer service. Instead, I will never return to this location. Omg the deals!!! I went to do a return and the original marshals. I got it at apparently put a different price tag on the item so it was not the easiest return but the manager Nathan was so nice about it that he let me return it for credit which I actually wanted and Miriam Was my cashier and I actually gave her a TJ Maxx receipt originally and felt dumb and asked her if I could just run to my car and if she needed to ring up the next person she could but she was so patient and kind with doing my returns with all the hassle that I brought into the store I’m so sorry lol And then was just checking out, but I do appreciate the store manager Nathan very nice guy and was able to easily return the items in the end!

I did run into another customer in the store and her and I both do the same thing because Marshalls has such great deals, especially clearance items that I tend to purchase a lot of items for peoples birthdays way ahead of time so this visit was mainly me doing my return and then buying birthday presents for my friends … One of the most organized marshals I’ve ever been to to be completely honest and all of the people on the floor were working so hard. I was greeted by multiple people starting from the front door. Everybody was so helpful and anxious to help me. One lady said you cannot have the cart until I clean it. Nice job. It looks like there's a little less of the larger Furniture in there or maybe I did not see it. But I walked the store. The store does have some beautiful setups throughout with tons of clothes but also sections with furniture (chairs, lamps, tables), unique food items, floral, animals, bed & bath, knick-knacks, kitchen and more- it is quite lovely. Even the checkout man was super nice! And a review is not complete without talking about prices. I can always find something in my price range and I often find things that are a steal!
