Loved it! What a treat. The place takes you back in time. Most of the artifacts you can pretty much touch. Almost nothing is behind the glass. A history lesson that goes back to first settlers of this great country.

Great repository of local history. Tremendous train exhibit from ALCOA, Wonderful displays from early native American history through the late 20th century. A gem hidden in plain sight, unfortunately vastly under appreciated. If you haven't visited lately it is time you stopped by. Remember it's to late to say "I should have gone, after it's gone". Stop by for the first time, or maybe to renew...

This museum offers excellent exhibits on industry, military service and every day life in the Mohawk Valley. It is a "must visit" for anyone interested in the history of Amsterdam and the surrounding area. Well worth the time spent there, and we will visit again...
