Trail Recommendation: Fishkill Ridge and Wilkinson Loop (reference see AllTrails app) Details: This trail is one of the most memorable route in Hudson River Shorelines, especially in Spring. Scenes changes a lot on this route, and there is lots of surprises are waiting for you. You’ll meet falls, ridge-rocks, top views, lake… Notifications: Some locations are muddy, some hills are steep(moderate), be ready with proper shoes, trekking pole. Images date: April 27, 2023, 3-4pm

It was a nice moderate trail. I hiked in December and there were like areas of ice so I didn't go above the treeline,I was afraid the ice would be worse higher. Trail clean, some small rocks to step over (not flat smooth trail, but not hard hiking). Very peaceful, not too busy. I was on the trail with the little bit of metal stairs before you start your hoke

A great trail with several small waterfalls and a nice river that runs the length. It’s a great spot to go for a hike and is pretty easy footing for most of it.

The hiking of Fishkill and Scofield Ridges are among the best in the entire Hudson Valley, and this is by far the best trailhead to start/end with. However, parking is apparently now prohibited anywhere near this trailhead...epic fail for the City of Beacon. I guess you would either have to walk up from Main st (seriously Beacon?) or take a taxi. The Mount Beacon trailhead is a ways down the road on 9D, but the route I go has nothing to do with that Mt. Beacon route (Casino Trail). I would even happily pay a fee to park at this trailhead, but nope, Beacon decided otherwise. The five stars are for the tails themselves, they offer everything a visiting...

we didn't hike the entire trail - but chose to go up until the path meets mt. beacon monument road... if you take a right, you can walk up to the reservoir and sit by (or swim in) the water. and then head back down. it was short and a really beautiful way to spend 1-2 hours.

fyi, i see some recent comments regarding parking...while its true, you can't part on the exact road that the trail starts from (pocket rd) - we were able to park on e. main and it only added about 5-10 extra minutes....
