D.A.R. Monument — Attraction in Town of Fishkill

Monument was a peaceful and fulfilling experience. The trail was steep in sections, especially the stairs at the beginning, but the effort was well worth it. Along the way, the views opened up beautifully, and reaching the top brought a true sense of calm and accomplishment. The fire tower offers stunning 360° views of the Hudson Valley absolutely breathtaking.

What a hike! 1.66 miles with 1243' ascension that included a staircase of 200 steps. Geocaching brought us here and again afforded us an area we may have never known about.
