Nice beach on the river with a roped off swimming area. There are no dogs allowed on this beach. Disappointed at so many people leaving their garbage instead of carrying it 30 feet to a garbage can. The water is a bit brown in color but seems pretty clean and warm. There are shady areas at either end of the beach with nice tree cover. Bathrooms and a nice Pavillion. Wear water shoes or sandals as the sand and pavement get very hot.

Took my toddler there for a day by the water. It wasn't too crowded. I like the view of the bridge, the watercraft going by was cool and it doesn't get too deep or too wavy. I wish there was a food truck down there as we ran out of our snacks faster than I anticipated. There was an ice cream truck that came thru tho. Love the brick shards. Like the views and the amtrak train going by across the river.

This beach over looks the huge bridge going over the Hudson river north. Its also situated between a large rock and a park with bbq stations. There is plenty of parking and its free to go here . The water is warm and inviting not very deep either. Perfect place to bring the kids for a beach day, play fetch with your dog, or just read a book and listen to the tide roll in .

We take the kids when the weather is warm and we can't really make it to a real beach. It's alright as long as you watch out for the cowheads (little black prickly seed pods from an invasive aquatic plant, look like alien eggs and hurt like heck if you step on them) and the bricks from long ago factories. It is on the Hudson so it's always good to check on any advisories about the water quality. Basically it would be a much better beach if humans didn't pollute...

Lovely spot, but very rocky beach. Parking is good, the play ground is cute. This was a well maintained area offering a dog park, frisbee golf, pavilions, picturesque views of the Hudson River and east to walk trails (not flat or wheelchair/stroller friendly).

There are picnic tables along the trails for a nice evening picnic and watch the sunset (but bring a flashlight to get back out of the park after sunset). Overall a lovely place to...
