A really special meal in a lovingly restored and exquisite 19th-century mansion with special lighting indoors and out. The food was unusual and exquisitely prepared. I enjoyed a duck pate, a black cod perfectly cooked and spiced, and a chocolate mousse. Restaurant week pricing provided an appetizer, main course and dessert for $45. Perhaps the best part was the ambience; there's a lovely intimacy and the noise level was perfect to talk to our friends without the loud din common at so many restaurants today. From the moment we arrived, Jill, our server, and Matthew, the bartender, made our experience unforgettable. Jill was warm and attentive, while Matthew crafted an exceptional Old Fashioned and offered great insights. The hotel and restaurant boast a romantic, beautiful atmosphere that perfectly blends modern elegance with historic charm. Update: really enjoyable the Prix Fixed menu (and a deal too)! The dining room is exquisite and our wonderful host Jillian was very responsive to our every need.
