Nice little beach on the Hudson. A picnic shelter & bathhouse are at the parking lot. There's a ballpark across the street & more picnicking close by with a covered shelter & lots of tables & benches...a lot of benches. You can take a walk along the old railroad tracks that hug the Hudson to take a look at the lighthouse in the middle of the river. Not clear if the tracks are still used. Maybe by the trolley museum close by? But there are picnic tables along this trail, too.

The beach has made very many improvements. Bathrooms changing room etc. It's open from morning till dusk but the problem I had was they lock the bathrooms before dusk. Some people using the beach including myself wanted to use it and they locked it before it was time. Other than that it was quite pleasant... Much improved from years prior! Plus they had a couple of food trucks there too! The picture is a kite that looks like a bird which was cool! 😎☮️🦅🏖️

Visited late on an overcast day during the ‘Rona so the park was empty, but one can imagine it teeming with people during warmer weather with no ongoing apocalyptic pandemic. There is a contraption for “frisby soccer,” footpaths, gazebos and a baseball field with dug-out and bleachers. Convenient parking for roughly thirty vehicles. Some attempt was made at artistic sculpture, but it looks unfinished or else in ruins.

This is a popular spot for many people. It provides a great view of the Hudson River with the sense of being at the beach - Beware of the "Water chestnuts" a.k.a. "BULLS HEAD" stepping on one will cause injury to the bottom of your feet. Great place for Barge watching, launching a boat, ski jet, and other watercraft. See the Kingston-Rhinecliff Bridge from here. Watch the occasional train as they go north and south from across the river. There is a playground for children and a pavilion that could be rented for events. This location is close to downtown Kingston and lots more... Depanding on the day, I have been here, and it is packed with people, no available parking spots, and it is...

Kingston Point Park is a beautiful, serene spot located along the Hudson River. It offers stunning views of the water, making it a great place for a peaceful walk or a picnic. The park has a well-maintained beach area, a playground for kids, and plenty of open space to relax. There's also a walking trail and spots for fishing, making it a versatile location for outdoor activities.
