We visited during covid and in the morning shortly after opening so it was not too busy. We had a tour without other guests which was nice. Our guide was nice and knowledgeable. She humored us and answered/discussed our questions with us which was fun. Lots to look at here. Only thing that I wish were different is upstairs in the museum there are photos of what the senate house looked like in the early 1900's/late 1800's and the decor is very different and seems much more involved than what is currently in the house.
