The park is also home to a gorgeous beach, perfect for soaking up the sun or taking a dip in the water.
Speaking of activities, Glen Island Park has no shortage of things to do. From hiking and biking trails to fishing spots and picnic areas, there's something for everyone to enjoy. My personal favorites were the paddleboats and kayaks available for rent – it was so much fun exploring the water and taking in the scenery.
If you're looking to relax, there are also plenty of spots at the park to kick back and unwind. Whether you prefer lounging on the beach, finding a shady spot under a tree, or setting up a picnic on the grass, you'll have no trouble finding a peaceful spot to call your own.
Overall, I can't recommend Glen Island Park enough. It's the perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and enjoy some quality time in nature. So grab your friends, pack a picnic, and get ready for a day of fun and relaxation at Glen Island Park. Trust me, you won't be...
Read moreVery clean, nice scenery and very serene. You have to pay for parking whether you have a resident park pass or not, the difference is the rate. They also implemented a re-entry park fee of $5 this year, which I feel is extortion due to the county trying to get money from park goers to supplement their loss from the pandemic. If I have a resident park pass and pay taxes, why do I have to pay a re-entry parking fee when I paid an initial parking fee in the first place? Despite how beautiful the park is and how much fun the kids had, toward the end the park rangers kept harassing us to get ready to leave around 6:30 pm warning that the park was closing in 30 min, when the LED sign upon entering the park says that it closes at 8pm and the Westchester.gov website states all public parks close at dusk. The time of sunset was at 8:22 PM that day. Not to mention, my brother observed the rangers did not approach surrounding parties. They literally stood there and watched us pack up after the 2nd warning. Keep in mind, this was an 8th grade graduation celebration that was slowly wrapping up on its own because most of the parents came to pick up their kids. I would have rated the park 4 stars, but the harassment from the rangers combined with the $30 I spent in re-entry fees after paying an initial parking fee to park in the lot, has allowed me to downgrade my...
