The Geyser Creek Trail is a must see at the Park. The fast moving creek is unique in that it carries still and mineral water from several springs, releasing minerals through evaporation, while providing unique watershed habitat for numerous species. The Geyser spring and the Orenda spring that empty into the Creek are natural wonders that alone make the Park worth a visit. A magical, one of a kind experience in the Northeastern U.S., the park is a must for anyone interested in the beauty of springs, and the unique health benefits of mineral spring water. Please enjoy, appreciate, and respect this place, for there is no other like it on the East Coast. If you found this a review helpful,...

If you're in Saratoga you really have to walk this short trail (Vale of Springs at Saratoga Spa State Park). Interesting, educational, fun, beautiful (in that order). Saratoga must do! Bring a cup to taste the mineral and spring waters and don't miss inhaling the gas vapors at the Hayes Spring (right side copper vent spout). It will make the visit memorable to say the least! Lastly, bring some empty clean one gallon water bottles if you want some "really good" natural spring water...

Lovely hiking trail suitable for young children. Right next to both a playground and the nature center, which is open for events and during the summer. Plenty of parking here, since this is where they release the stock fish every year into the creek. The nature center has a bathroom inside, though I'm not sure if it's available in the winter. Bring your fishing pole - ages 16 and up need a license from the department of conservation, but younger children can...

This is a great little hike. We did the five mile/geyser trail. There are a couple steeper sections but the are short. I’m guess it would be quite slippery in the rain. Fun little hike with two locations to try the spring water along the way. It’s a different taste and I highly recommend trying it. Not really for us but worth the try. We bottled some from the second spring and was surprised to find that the plastic water bottle was definitely pressurized. Carbonation!!!
