Very cool cars old and new and ones I have never heard of, which shocked me. The staff was very pleasant and amazing and I have to explain what they were up against, the gentleman who I met at Spac for a first meet/date said let's see the cars, I was excited as I've been going to Spac my whole life and never went in. He made it so awkward, first we walk in and he says to the gentleman at the counter I have to pay for this, why what's so special? The sign podsted on the door says prices at first I thought he was joking, then realized when he wouldn't stop he wasn't which I then offered to pay, he refused and he then tried to get in for free because he had a ny state park pass, which the gentleman kindly said repeatedly and calmly and very respectfully that the museum is separate entity. Then when that didn't work he said then I'm paying senior pricing threw a 20 down saving himself 4 dollars. I tried to pay again to end the embarrassment. But the nice gentleman took the 20 and said she isn't a senior :) but please enjoy yourself. Super happy he said that as I am 50. Then the poor gentleman on the second floor had to ask multiple times for him to stop touching the cars as they are antiques and there are ropes w signs, please dont touch, he handled it so well a true professional. A smart professional young man correcting a 60 yr old man, that made my day!. Great staff!! Will go again to the museum and it is only 12 dollars 😀 but not on another date w him!

The Saratoga Automobile Museum displays a great collection of automobiles. The museum has two floors of unique automobiles from all walks of life. The museum will appeal to a gearhead or anyone who has an interest in automobile history. One of the more interesting cars displayed is their 1912 Model T. I have seen other Model T’s on display, but this one was unique because it had a 1912 engine with a 1914 body. It really shows the genius of how well interchangeable parts worked on this piece of American History. All sorts of different cars were showcased including a VW Bus from the 1960’s, Midget Stock Cars, Ferrari’s, McLaren's, and a Ford Phaeton. The museum did a nice job detailing the story and history of their automobiles. For a small museum the variety that they were able to showcase is very good. The James Bond collection is also a must see. Cars from James Bond flicks as far back as the 1960’s all the way to the 2000’s are on display. Some of the top names in this collection include Aston Martin, Jaguar, BMW, and a Mercury Cougar. The display also has submarines, motorcycles, and stunt cars. If you like the movies or just like cars this display is a must. The staff was friendly and helpful at the museum. There is a gift shop on the premises. It is best to purchase tickets ahead of time online. Tickets can be purchased there as well. The museum can take about an hour or more to see. A great museum in the Saratoga area!

The Saratoga Auto Museum had a car show for the Tesla owners. Stpooed by to check some of the different cars and models and to speak to the owners to find out in person more about these electric automobile. Went into the museum for the first time. Museum staff was friendly upon entry. On display was a collection of Porsches from the collection of Steve Harris. Very beautiful collection of the Porsches. Many different type on display from roadsters,993 GT2. 1964 356C Coupe Peking Rally Car, and a 1958 Carerra GT Coupe. Many others. These were all on Display on the bottom floor. Upstairs was a collection of racing cars, a 1912 Model T Ford that was not restored. Was on display the way it was found. Also on display was a General Electric electric car. This was a prototype and only 2 of these were made. This was made in Schenectady NY. Richard Petty stock car on display along with a McClaren Indy Car, Lola B09/86 #16. Sprint car on display along with photos of local racing legends. All along it took a little over a hour to see the display. They also have a room were you can see a short movie on old automobile's. In this room there is also some great history about women and automobile's. Small gift shop on your way out.

Date of Visit: Saturday July 8th The history of Saratoga is the natural springs the town is known for. Bottling the water was a big industry back in the day, and the bottling plant is a huge historic building in the centre of The Saratoga Spa State Park. While the bottling is no longer taking place, the bottling plant has been given new life as an Automobile museum. The Automobile museum preserves and exhibits autombiles and related artefacts. The history of the automobile, and the role of it in New York state. While we were there, there was a special exhibit – “Bond in Motion” – a collection of automobiles and other vehicles that were used and featured in James Bond movies. The Aston Martins, the submarine, motorcycles, etc – all featured in 007 movies through the decades. The museum will appeal to the gear head and anyone while loves cars. The Bond exhibit is a temporary exhibit, and may not be there for long – but it the museum has plenty to engage visitors. The cost of the museum was about $20USD, which at first, we were a little surprised by but the museum is well worth it. It is not a huge museum, and would be easy to do the whole thing in about an hour. There is parking on site.

A nice but small museum. The downstairs area hosts temporary exhibits, which happened to be a history of Ferrari at the time of our visit. There were 11 cars on display (and a bicycle), including an F40 and an F50 and a super rare model with center driving position and three abreast seating. Upstairs hosts what appeared to be semi-permanent exhibitions of automobile racing and manufacturing in New York State. There were about 18 cars on display including two gravity racers. We looked at everything in detail, read all the signs, chatted with the attendants, and we were done in a little over an hour. Overall, a pleasant experience, and a chance to see some very, very expensive cars, but a little limited for the $20 per person entrance fee. If you liked this museum, you will probably find the extensive collection of the Northeast Classic Car Museum in Norwich, NY is worth the drive.

The Saratoga Automobile Museum is a great place to spend some time with so many fun and cool cars! This beautiful building has lots of space for meandering through the displays and is easily wheelchair/walker accessible. There’s an elevator to the second floor. If you ask the docents a question, be ready for a lively, and enthusiastic response. These volunteers know their stats and enjoy sharing insider details. They sometimes have special events so be sure to check the website before you go. Restrooms and a gift shop are on the first floor. When the weather is nice, you can combine a visit to the museum with the farmers market in the park. Throw a few camp chairs in your car or a blanket and enjoy lunch after you browse the market!
