I was in town with my two grandchildren, ages 10 (girl) and 11 (boy), and was looking for somewhere to go for a short period of time on a Saturday afternoon. I didn't expect the children would want to be there very long, but I was pleasantly surprised. They ended up feeding the ducks for 2 hours while I watched them. We did not walk around the pond on the trails, but others were doing so while we were there. There were plenty of ducks coming close to eat the food the entire time. They gave out small containers of corn to feed the ducks. They are run by donations so we gave a donation each time the kids went back to get another container. They also had large buckets of corn that they asked $5 for. The pond area was clean and I had no trouble finding clean...
Read moreMy kids and I had a great time here. The employees we're very helpful describing the area and how we can save money if we didn't use all of the corn to feed the ducks. One of the geese had a name which we shortly figured out why. He is very friendly and he followed us around the entire pond. There are beautiful white swans in the water and walkways are very clean. They have improved a lot there are many places to see the water from different angles and relax. It's an inexpensive outing to spend time with the family. My 4-year-old, 9-year-old and 12 year olds all enjoy themselves.I believe it was $5 for two gallon size bags of corn feed and four of us only used one bag. They said we can return it for a refund or just bring it...

It's a very small area that has replaced natural surroundings with fences, buildings, and a rather obnoxious electronic speaker blurting "Welcome! Welcome! Welcome!" at you as you walk down the entry road. The entire place is saturated with signage, (none of which blends well with the natural surroundings). Every available area has been posted with a sign. They have made it accessible with roads and paths throughout, but have compromised the natural beauty in doing so. I much prefer to hike around the Rand Tract behind the pond to enjoy the...
