Service: great! Called in for a pick up and they had my food warm and ready! However, I didn’t get any plastic utensils or napkins which was a bit inconvenient since I was rushing to get back to work. Taste: “Boneless spare ribs” aka C31- rice was good and meat was mediocre. It was bit on the dry side and the sauce was super sweet but overall the dish was okay. This dish came with a fried roll which was pretty yummy! The amount was also nothing to complain about. Honestly I could eat this for 2 meals. Recommend: Yes! For the price, the food was good! I spent about $10.

Some of the best Chinese food I've encountered in Syracuse. My go-to used to be Great Wall but since they closed, I've been searching for an authentic hole-in-the-wall Chinese food restaurant and Rong Cheng fit the bill. General Tso was sweet and savory, pork lo mein was smokey and flavorful. Egg rolls were cooked to perfection and not overly greasy. Had food out in 15 minutes on a very busy night.

My last order was over $30 and most of the food tasted old or had a weird aftertaste. I just hate that I spent so much money on food I don’t even have the stomach to eat. It simply was not fresh. Would love my money back. When I spend my hard-earned money, I expect quality flavor and freshness.

I’ve lived near rong cheng my entire life, and haven’t ever had a bad meal, until after covid. I could understand that it isn’t the place for everyone though, as everyone develops their own taste for Chinese take out over time! I ordered a couple of days post pandemic. Completely plexiglass protected, very limited contact. Great! But In all of my years since a child, the food was terrible! I haven’t ordered in months because the rice was so strange, and super yellow (no soy sauce??) The most unauthentic fried rice I’ve ever had. Nothing else was good either that day. I chalked it up to them having to clean the kitchen top to bottom during lock down changing the overall season of the place. I was devastated as there isn’t a variety of options nearby anymore.

It’s Christmas Eve and I obviously don’t want to cook today, resting up for tomorrow. So I put in an order with fingers crossed.

Well, Someone must have complained, because this is the best I’ve ever had from them, I’m super pleased! General tsao usually good, but never spicy at all. This had the perfect heat. My Fried rice is back to normal, fresh, hot, and fluffy (with soy...

It was actually one of my go to places, but a recent experience left me very disappointed with their service. I will NEVER use this business or any other business affiliated with this family.

I order the same thing every time. I called in my order for pick up and headed down to the location. I check my order because humans can make mistakes. I immediately noticed my order was incorrect and pointed it out to her. She essentially told me that I was wrong and she gave me exactly what I ordered. She literally argued with me and refused to accept that she made a mistake with my order.

Now, I'm a full time student and RARELY have time to cook, so I order quite often from them. Often enough for her to correct the order with no issue. She didn't resolve her mistake. I believe I ended up having to call the bank in regards to canceling the payment (I refused to take the wrong order, so I left it right there).

To make a long story short......i invested...

Have been going to these guys for many many years but unfortunately will be on the search for a new go to Chinese food spot. The past 4 times I've ordered the taste, the quality and these past couple times undercooked Crab Ragoons. Gabe them 4 chances to redeem yet they did not. Today was another undercooked Crab Ragoons day but what took the cake was observing the cook pick his nose right in front of me. Not just a little itch type of pick either, it was the going in grab a winner type of pick. He looked right at me noticed I saw him do it and did nothing to make it right. No washing his hands, no grab a tissue...not even a grab a kitchen towel to wipe his...
