Stepping into The Deli on the Valley is like stepping into grandma's house... because there is no doubt you'll be feasting properly. It's the kind of spot that makes you stop and think, "Wow, I should be eating here." More likely than not you will be asking yourself why you haven't eaten here sooner. Before you know it, you will become a regular! Inside, the decor is equally impressive as the outside—think trendy yet cozy, with just the right amount of modern charm. I always saw myself as a picky gal when it came to food AND music... Let me just say, I was pleasantly surprised when I learned the guy in the glasses, working in the front, was controlling the music. The music selection is IMPECCABLE and really pulls everything together. They really know how to set a vibe! The mozzarella sticks are a revelation. Crispy on the outside, gooey on the inside—these golden delights could convert even the most devout mozzarella stick skeptic. And then there's the eggplant parm sub. It’s nothing short of a culinary masterpiece. The eggplant is perfectly cooked, the sauce is divine, HUGE portion, and the whole thing is generously cheesy. It’s like a hug in sub form. Instead of a new year's resolution, I have taken it upon myself to make an end of year's resolution, which is to try everything on the humongous menu. Maybe this time around I will finish memorizing the menu!... The staff are attentive and friendly, making you feel like you're part of the family. They're quick to treat you like a best friend and ensure your food experience is top-notch. Overall: Deli on The Valley isn’t just a place to eat; it's an experience. Between the stunning decor, the drool-worthy food, and the undeniably dashing owner, you’re in for a treat. HIGGGHHLY recommend checking it out—just be prepared to make this your new...

Read moreA new take-out deli recently opened near the corner of Valley Drive and Seneca Turnpike in the building previously occupied for many years by Luigi's Italian Restaurant. The menu is extensive with a wide variety of items from subs to shrimp po boys, to quesadillas, to pizza and wings. I ordered a 12-in Italian sub which comes with beef salami, turkey ham, provolone, shredded lettuce, tomato, onion, mayo, oil and vinegar, and grated parmesan. It was not only a generous amount of food, but it was also very tasty. Next time, I might ask if they could add banana peppers, pepperoncini, or even cherry peppers for a little heat. Alternatively, I might ask if the tomatoes could be replaced by roasted red pepper. The interior of the building has been completely remodeled and is bright and stylish. The staff are friendly, helpful and patient. Because of the length of the menu, I'd suggest you stand aside from the order line when you first enter in order to peruse the overhead illuminated menu so you can make an informed decision on...
