Clarksburg Dog Park — Attraction in Clarksburg

ill give the dog park a 4 star because it is a nice area to take your dog out. Although, it is kinda small so not alot of room if there are alot of people out. Another thing I'd like to point out is the fact they removed the skate park. I am not a skater, nor have I ever been, however, there is very little for kids to do around here. Taking another thing away is NOT gonna help! We have a drug problem in our city! We should be focusing on getting more things to entertain our children(kids, teens, etc)! It's great to have a dog park, but I am currently more worried about the young people of our area and giving them something more to do than just hang around borerd in a place with so much negative influence. There is dog crap everywhere, few amenities, and the fountain has been broken about a year. On the good side, it isn't often busy. Clarksburg is a city where you won't encounter a lot of folks walking their dog or doing nice things for their dog. It is mostly a tie your dog up outside town. But when I do meet dog folks here, the few that care, they are often nice. I even saw a cop here once playing with his K9. Clarksburg should and could do much better. Really nice little park for your dogs. There's a double gate-- one to go into the enclosure, then another to pick which side to enter. The extra security really nips worries of escape in the bud, so you can relax while watching your dogs. Outside of the enclosure, you can walk your pets down to the dock, where there's usually a flock of geese swimming around, or eating in the grass.
