A honest review: as a former tournament paintball player and only playing airsoft when I was a teenager ( 31 ) is age.
We had a big group of people come from charleston we was very excited to hear the news that a great facility had opened up just a lil shy of 2 hrs from charleston. The staff was very nice and helpful any time I was at counter and I was always asked if I needed some help.
The field was massive let alone I found my self getting lost of how big it was and I don't mean that in a negetive way it was great the design was very well put together and thought out. I didn't realize how intense it could be out there super adrenaline rush from the start. I did not realize how much it stings depending on where you get shot you definitely know considering i had only a t shit and blue work pants on on. Maybe that's why all these people that regularly play are looking like they belong to a special tac force or swat team haha. All in general it was a blast im glad wv has something new like this cause we don't have alot ya know. I thinks it's a great way to spend a weekends kids and adults can have something like a top notch facility to look forward to now.
Opinions: I found it very hard at times to know who was on your team and who was not example with the arm band if someone is peeking in a direction where arm band is not on that side you will not know if that's a friend or foe.
I didn't have this issue but alot of peep was saying some people was not calling they was hit and would stay in play that's hard thing to ever try and enforce i don't know if people was just not being a sport about it or maybe it could be all the gear on and they could just not feel it hard to tell to be fair.
I wish it was a little brighter in there to see just a tad bit better. Alot of places were lit up great but some was not now I don't know if that's just how it is in that certain type of environment for that area or not.
What i thought was cool is they have a shop so if u are wanting to grab something it seemed 2 be great brands of equipment they have it all right there for you. Guns, grenades, mask, mags, you name it seemed to be a one stop shop!
Thanks for building a cool...
Read moreGave 2 stars due to staff. Went to a private party here the manager let the regular kids stay and play witch I thought was cool at first because they was helping people that never shot a airsoft gun (witch was majorly of our group) before but as time went on they started shooting people after the game was over shooting people to close we had some of us bleeding. But what really was bad was they had three young girls there that was the managers daughters that was making all kinds of trouble too accusing of players breaking the rules and complaining that the parents that was watching wasn't wearing the right glasses after staff said we was good as long as the parents had glasses on to protect there eyes and at the end the Manager accused of us breaking a wall and water heater after we told them that it was the three regulars that back there damaging stuff (he would have never know anything about it if it wasn't for us telling him). The Manager went as far as make claims that he had it video but refused to show the video and demand we pay for damages but dropped it when we told him we wanted to see video first. This is a great course to go play in just need to get rid of manger and his kids they cause why to much trouble and I believe the only reason we got kicked out is they was wanting to go home because our party wasn't over till 10pm and they kicked us out at 9:20 I wish I could remember the ref name and the guy running the counter they was good people real friendly and wanted us to have a good time while not...
Read moreCame with my team from PA (5 hours away) for a regular walk-on day. We had a blast. Only issue is this ruined other indoor fields for me. The field is huge with essentially 3-4 regular cqb field's worth of area. All other indoor fields are going to feel tiny in comparison. The staff was great. Staging was unique since offices were repurposed as the staging area, so is you have a big group, you basically get a room to yourself. The field is huge for indoor. There are actual 2 story buildings (not like a crappy half step up or something like that), which is rare for indoor play. Admission pricing ($35) was fair for indoor for 8 hours of gameplay. Most places, it is $35 for half the amount of gameplay and a 1/4 of the space. The regulars and other players called their hits. Little to no overshooting. My few critiques are 1, the time till next game timer should be moved to the hallway in staging so people can see it easier, 2, Skirmesh should be looked into for objectives so progress can be tracked and increase interactivity, 3, the observation catwalk should be better labeled and should be extended to cover around the tower field, 4, the game modes should be posted on the website somewhere so people can read up on them ahead of time. You locals are spoiled by the best indoor field on the east side of...
