Attended Juneteenth on June 16, 2018, and the atmosphere of these gardens was very nice. It was nice to see all of the black people in the community of the city of Cleveland Ohio coming together and celebrating together. It is my understanding that there is much more to be contributed and constructed at the African-American cultural gardens, and that can be seen since it is not as elaborate in design as some of the other gardens in the area. Currently the top Wheelock Road portion of the garden is largely complete. Between the converging black walls leading through the architectural frame at the edge of the descent to the Parkway, there is a blue 'stream' on the ground leading to a rectangular blue fountain that will eventually flow down the hill.
