Cleveland Public Library - Collinwood Branch — Attraction in Cleveland

Took my 4 year old niece to this library as she was visiting me in my neighborhood and it was so very hot! The children's librarian, Mr T was behind the check out station but when he spotted my niece, he came out and welcomed her and gave us a full tour of the children's dept. we played with some blocks in a cozy area set up near big windows and Mr. T obliged my niece by coming to see her building. She was trying out a bean bag chair and he ever so gently handed her a book with flaps to open and she was immediately engaged! We picked out some books but she really wanted a Mermaid book and Mr. helped her find TWO! Could not have asked for a kinder more welcoming experience. The staff at the collinwood branch are absolutely amazing! They are eager to help and get involved with the people who visit their branch and offer all available resources that they have and are knowledgeable on everything I've ever inquired about without having to consult someone else. No matter where in Cleveland I might live, I will always go to the Collinwood branch when I go to the library because I know I'll get the help or information I need no matter what. Love this library and how they offer a very wide array of books that you can take home and KEEP even if you don't have a library card. The staff is always really kind. Also, for those who are homeless or short on food, just about every day that I go there, they have little food bags that they give out for free. It's a quiet and cozy place!...
