Ohio City Appliances — Attraction in Cleveland

Hello Tony, Last month in june, my husband and I were searching for a used refrigerator for our basement. We were able to come to Ohio City appliances and found a stainless steel refrigerator that fit perfectly. We received a 30-day warranty along with purchasing an extended warranty for one year. By the next day, the refrigerator was delivered. After about 3 weeks, we begin to notice allowed sound coming from the fan in the freezer. I was able to call and within a couple of days, a repair man came out to service the refrigerator for us but mentioned that there was a sensor was not in stock and needed to be ordered. The repair man that came out was professional, courteous detailed and took his time trying to troubleshoot the repair need. He informed me that another appointment would need to be made to address the sensor and advised me to call back to schedule. I followed the instructions and call back on a Friday and was able to schedule an appointment once I returned from vacation the following tuesday. I called Ohio City appliances, to confirm my appointment but learned that the sensor was not in and I was given the option to coming in to choose another refrigerator to swap out and replace the one that I had purchased. Upon arriving, I viewed the current inventory and saw another stainless steel refrigerator that was comparable to what I had purchased. Tony offered me another 30-day warranty and without charging any additional fee, provided me with another one year warranty that I will be able to apply and register to my refrigerator once my 30 they warranty ends. I think him and complimented him for making the transaction seamless, trouble free and thank him for understanding. He told me that it was important to him to ensure that all of his customers had working appliances; especially when it comes to refrigerators to avoid any food loss or issues with food spoiling. Over the years, I realize that one way to determine the quality and integrity of a business is when you really need them the most. If I could give one star. I would. There was a new fridge and 5 burner used stove on marketplace for $799.for the set. I message and asked if it was available. They said yes, I went there and all of a sudden. It was sold which didn't make any sense and tried to show me dirty nasty refrigerators that were way more expensive. So as I'm looking on marketplace the next day the exact same refrigerator and stove for 799 was on marketplace. So I message then again, and asked is this available. They said Yes, it is available. Then I had my friend message.on a different ad with the same stove and refrigerator Is this available? Yes, it is available. I called the store and asked to speak to the owner. I was told the owner is unavailable. So I asked to speak to the manager about this all of a sudden. He hands the phone to the owner, which was not available. And by this time I'm very upset because what they are doing is so wrong. He was very rude to me Called me karen hung up me. I have contacted the news. And I will include screenshots of our conversations. Everytime i asked a straight up question they read it and ignored it. beware of this company. They put these things on the internet to get you in there to tell you that it's no longer available.Then try and sell you something else that's either super damaged or disgusting for a outrageous price. Some of these reviews are funny.. I had a different experience. I was actually scammed on marketplace for fridge and stove. I seen this guy on Facebook, went into his store . I'm pretty sure it was the owner, he got off the phone immediately and greeted my daughter and I. I explained to him that I lost money and couldn't afford anything fancy. I honestly wanted a older washer with the agitator. They work better and just like the owner said " they are built to last ". He didn't try to sell me anything else but what I was interested in. He actually knocked a bit off my delivery fee. My Maytag up and down beast iworks perfect! His 2 delivery guys were great ! Very pleasant, they were honestly looking out for me. My washer would not fit thru my utility door ,I told him to push it thru. They looked at me and said mam if I push this thru and I mess it up for any reason we won't be able to replace it for u. But let me tell you they tried so hard without !@#ing up my walls. They couldn't get it thru , and refused to damage anything. They were so cool and I appreciated them both looking out for me They both got a tip ! Now I'm waiting for my stove. This time I just called and said pick one out for me. Lol and bring it please. Very convenient. They all were very respectful , down to earth and humble . When you're buying used furniture. What u see is what u get.
