While this is a beautiful venue for special occasions, the communication and organization from staff caused us to give such a low rating. There were so many issues and stress added to our wedding day due to staff not remembering details or things told or promised to us. We didn’t even get to have our rehearsal at the venue because they double booked and never even told us until we asked directly about our rehearsal. It flipped all of our plans upside down and caused us to have more issues the day of the wedding. We also had to squeegee water our the morning of the wedding while setting up even though we were told very minimal water would be in the venue because all the sides would be down. The entire floor was pretty much covered in water and that doesn’t work for weddings. We were also told at the beginning of the process on a tour that a security deposit, of $200, was included in the final price. Come two weeks after the wedding, we did not receive anything so we asked where the deposit was. They claim that it wasn’t actually apart of the price we paid and they are refusing to give us any of it back, even with all of the issues and miscommunication they have caused from their end. Other things were at the venue we were also not told about but was set up anyways as well which changed how we wanted to arrange things. Since we weren’t allowed to set up anything until the morning of the wedding, we had to change most of our plans for set up and organization. They also changed the contract process right after we signed one and it was forgotten on numerous occasions that we were under the old contract through the venue.
We will say the venue turned out beautifully after all of the stress and miscommunication. The day of staff member who was on site to help was also great. We just have a hard time recommending this to other wedding couples simply because of all of the additional stress that was added to this process on top of the stress already associated with wedding planning and the...
Read moreMy first visit to this park was, as you can see, in the middle of winter. As cold as it was it was still fascinating and enjoyable. There were kids sledding on the mounds around the park, to my surprise there was a photographer climbing the stairs of the tower! I didn’t think it was open! I walked around, explored the historical remnants of what once was the livelihood of many Ohio families. I can’t wait to come back in the summer and enjoy more that the park has to offer. My visit was a cold, beautiful, serene and quiet stroll for as long as I could endure the blustery wind. I’m looking forward to this park in other seasons. I appreciate the work that was involved in the dreaming, planning and execution of this fascinating park made to honor the hardworking families of glassmakers, engineers and visionaries that inspired this site in all of...

The park has sense been transferred from an abandoned factory to rolling hills, mounds, and lakes surrounded by artistic remains and sculptures that leave hints of the past.
An incredible architectural feat that many towns with similar abandoned area's should consider.
A beautiful area where one can walk, jog, bring the pets and kids, sit and relax on the numerous benches, fish in one of the regularly stocked ponds, seek wildlife, or climb to the top of the old smoke stack (1950s) to catch an incredible view of the park and surrounding areas.
A highly recommended area within the city of Mount Vernon, truly the towns gem. A very peaceful, and relaxing escape for individuals and...
