Glitz & Ears Boutique — Attraction in Clinton Township

Last week, my girlfriends mother was visiting in town and went to this shop. Together they purchased the last pair of shoes of this kind from the manager working at the store. Her mother went home which is 4 hours away and the shoes were put up until yesterday when she tried the shoes on again and realized they were not a good fit for her feet. We decided to return to the shop today in order to exchange or return the shoes as we were within 14 days and the shoes were not used but only tried on a total of two times.

We were greeted by the same manager who sold her the shoes but she became incredibly rude when discussing returning the shoes due to size issue. Even though we were in the time window, she called her a liar saying they have been worn and were dirty which they were not. She said that they were worn outside, even though they went, because if a brown shade on the bottom of the shoe. When comparing the other clearance and last pair of shoes in the store, all of them had the same brown shade likely because other customers try them on and they are the last pair left.

She refused to entertain store credit or any returning of the item for these reasons l, refused to provide us her name and refused to listen to any reasons she had that caused her to breakdown in the store because she was being treated abysmally.

The second lady in the store was nice and tried to be helpful but was unable to do anything against the rude manager. Returning items is a normal practice but here you better make sure you don't accidently step on carpet dirt or they will refuse service to you.

The manager had some of the worse customer service by basically calling her a liar in front of everyone in the store and arguing/getting loud with her when we were just trying to follow their own policies the store has.

Small retailers should have better customer service and a forgiving retail return policy as they need the most customer retention possible.

Be very careful shopping here and make sure that you do not require a return unless its in pristine condition even if you bought it in a less than pristine condition.

To the people saying they were never greeted, I strongly disbelieve this was the case. You could send in your secret shoppers all day any day and I guarantee that the staff will always greet them with a smile and be there to help with your every need. Maybe you were unable to hear them over the joyful music that keeps get you in the shopping mood! Not only did I have the great opportunity and pleasure of working for Donna almost 8 years managing at Glitz & Ears, but i've been a loyal customer for just as long. This store has everything you could ever wish for, from the jewelry, purses and shoes to the vast selection of clothing for every season as well as unique gifts! The staff there puts in a lot of time making sure each customer feels special and are always willing to accommodate special requests for any occasion! I recommend this store to ALL of my friends young and old and those who have taken the time to go visit have NEVER been disappointed. I just recently sent a coworker for her wedding and she found the perfect jewelry and was highly satisfied, as well as other co-workers who are used to Birmingham and Troys high prices, have been able to find far better choices for half the price! If you have not taken the chance to check this place out in person,while you're out shopping this holiday season make sure you stop in, their prices are always low and even then they still do amazing discounts! As a long time customer and featured model for Glitz & Ears boutique, I have had nothing but positive experiences at this store. I first started shopping here for my Prom & Homecoming jewelry back in high school. As I matured, I continued shopping at Glitz for all of my black tie events and music performances. I am a professional wedding singer and model in the MetroDetroit Area; Glitz & Ears ALWAYS has a stunning statement piece when I need it. I've recently started purchasing clothing from Glitz also. I find that the sweaters & shirts I buy are of great quality. And the jeans fit BETTER than any Nordstrom of Express jean I've ever owned. Glitz & Ears also has THE cutest shoes. I just bought a pair of red stiletto heels and wore them to my company Christmas party; I got so many compliments!

Not only does Glitz & Ears have great merchandise, but they have fantastic customer service. The girls always greet me with a smile. They've gotten to know me now and give me a big hug when they see me.
