The food quality & portions have really gone downhill, while the prices have shot up considerably in the past year. My disappointment started when my sister was still waiting to be seated after I dropped her off at the door. She has a bad back & uses a cane & oxygen. There were very few customers & at least 3 employees milling around by the front register, but they left her standing there. After being seated, we asked our server where the Specials Board was. She said they discontinued it because all the meals were on the menu already. When I asked Weren't the 'Specials' daily Discounted Meals, she said No. So why did they bother putting a Specials Board up all these years? Next disappointment was the $6.99 french onio soup which was not even a full bowl & had a heavy peppery taste. 0 stars. My burger & fries were good. But the fact that the server mentioned twice that 'they just changed the grease so the fries should be 'really good' made me nervous. They were good, but they did not have the same tasty seasoning they used to have. My sister's chicken breast dinner was tasty but cold & so skimpy. Two very small, thin pieces of chicken not much bigger than medallions. When she asked the server to warm it up, she was told that it was cold because she took so long to eat her soup ! Shameful! The topper was our bill. We had a coupon to buy one entree and get half off another. The coupon also advertised a 15% senior discount. When we paid the bill, we asked for the senior discount but did not get 15%, we got 10%. I reminded them that the coupon stated 15% and the manager told us that they changed it! It was a misprint and it was only 10%. We just received the coupon the day before, so it was not like it was old & expired.. When I questioned the 'false advertising' the manager said Well, I didn't print the coupon!! WHAT TYPE MANAGER SAYS THAT? I didn't want to make a scene, so we paid & left I just want people to know that they are cheap & unethical. Not only was the food mediocre, portions small & prices high, but they resort to false advertising to get people in and then refuse to honor their own coupon. It has nothing to do with the couple of bucks we would have saved, it was the principal. If nothing else, he should have at least apologized. We will never go in there again. And it's unfortunate because we used to go often over the last 10 yrs! And to make matters worse, yesterday we received new coupons in the mail for 15% senior discount! It went right in the trash. I would not recommend them. Wildflower has a much better menu, better food and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy family and I have been long time customers of this establishment. 5+ years. In the last several months the we have watched the quality of the food here go downhill. We still come because we appreciate the good service we always get from our servers. Today we went to get breakfast with our infant. This is a common occurrence. They sat us next to the station where the busser drops off the dirty dishes and the waitstaff fill up drinks and coffee.
We have sat here several times before, and never been an issue. They have a new-ish busser. He walked by us several times and could clearly see our infant was sleeping. He proceeds to slam down a stack of dirty dishes so loud, it startled my infant from sleep (we are lucky that it didn't cause instant screaming), it startled my husband who almost choked on a pancake, and several tables near us also were startled or looked at the busser.
As I mentioned earlier we have sat at that booth several times with our infant and the noise has never been an issue. This was agressively loud. As someone who's first job was in the restaurant business all waitstaff and bussers should be trained to be courteous to their patrons. When we brought it to the managers attention she indicated that we should request not to sit there. She was the one who sat us at the booth. She should have addressed with the employee after we left the situation that occurred and simply apologized and let us know she would address it after we left. I guess they will let anyone be a manager these days, even if they have no idea on how to properly address a problematic situation like this. If my husband had choked, it COULD have turned into a MEDICAL EMERGENCY and possibly legal action. You would think that a business and it's "manager" would want to avoid any possible scenario in which anything like this could occur. Clearly the manager that works here does not care about the patrons who frequent and is only there to collect a paycheck. Mr. Vicari needs to find someone better suited to respesent...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreVery disappointed with this place. Twice now I have tried to take my elderly parents here for a holiday meal. First on Thanksgiving and then on Easter Sunday. A few days before Thanksgiving my mother called to ask how late they would be open on Thanksgiving and she was told 4:00pm. We arrived at the restaurant at 3:40pm and were told they were closed. When my mother told the man at the door she was told 4:00 he said our last seating was at 3:00. Try to find a place to eat on Thanksgiving at 4:00. It was a real inconvenience and cost me a lot more money than I was anticipating. Fast forward to Easter. Again, my mother called the restaurant. This time she spoke to Karen, who is apparently the general manager. She said the restaurant would be closing at 5:00 on Easter. My mother then asked Karen what time the last seating was. Karen told her 4:45pm. We arrived at the restaurant again at 3:40 and a woman came out and said they were closed. My mother asked who Karen was that she had spoken with and the lady said she's the general manager. We told her what Karen had said and what had happened on Thanksgiving and she replied "I'm sorry our kitchen is closed." How do you have people answering the phone, especially the general manager, that don't know what the restaurant hours are? Frustrating! to say the least! On the way back to the car my mother said "well this is the last time for...
