
I’m a baseball and ballpark nerd, and I love this one. It’s an almost perfect place to see and really experience a game of baseball. The canopied grandstand sits so close to the action you’re practically on top of the plate. It’s proximity and lower roof also make it the best sounding park I’ve ever been too. Every sound of an at bat from the slap of the ball in the catchers mitt to the crack of the bat to the umpires calls sound like they are from a movie. There’s no distracting video board or amusement park, just the game and an old school wooden outfield wall. There’s even a unique feature in left field.
Being from Davenport about 50 minutes up the road I’ll forever be a River Bandits fan, but I regularly make the trip to Clinton to see a game at this park. If you love a nice relaxing afternoon at a ballgame, this is arguably one of the best places in the Midwest to experience it one. Go...
