I love the Seminole Nation. I have spent a lot of time studying and visiting their important historical sites in South Florida. They are the only native people the US government was never able to force to surrender. There were 200,00 Seminole living in Florida in 1513 and after the Third Seminole War there were less than 200 members left. The survivors hid out in the Everglades. After the decimation of their nation by the US government in the 1800's they are thriving today. They started with the humble beginnings of bingo and have since transformed that into a large scale expansion into the gaming industry. One result of that expansion is the Seminole Casino located in Coconut Creek. It is a large casino where you can play slot machines as well as table games like poker, baccarat, and black jack. They have several restaurants in the casual and fine dining categories, bars and lounges and an entertainment venue called The Pavilion that hosts national music and comedy acts. I don't come to the casino because I don't gamble and they allow smoking which I am not able to tolerate. Apparently there is a smoke free upper level that is supposed to be somewhat better but from what I hear it is still smoky. Instead I come once a year for their Fourth of July celebration held on July 3. From 7-9 they have food trucks and music and it's topped off by a Grucci of New York fire work show at 9 PM. The event is always popular and if you want to park in the garage you must get there by 7 at the latest. I came later and found a spot on the outskirts of the casino property. The Fourth of July celebration is a fun free family event offered to the community. While I won't be at the casino anytime soon I plan to visit their Ah-Tah-Thi-Ki Museum on July 28th for their Seminole War Day which will have special exhibits.

Updated 6/7/22 This is a nice casino. I hate the smoke, or I would rate it higher. They have a new non-smoking area downstairs where the "Pavilion" was/is. It has its own entrance, so you can now completely avoid walking thru smoke. It has some table games and a good selection of machines. This is a major improvement. The poker room is now upstairs and is smoke-free. Nice little bar up there with video poker. Otherwise, in the main casino, there is a fairly good selection of video poker machines, especially for Southern Florida. However, most of the machines are the older Game King type. They have very few of the newer video poker variants, which I miss. The selection of slot machines is very good. Payouts seem highly variable, and I would not call the slots "loose" by any means, but they aren't the tightest either. Hand payouts are actually paid quickly, which is great, but if you are a regular, you can now be paid directly at your machine, which is really a huge time saver! I just wish I could arrange to withhold some Federal taxes and, of course, beware that it is very easy to quickly spend what is sitting in the machine! The ventilation is only fair, and the cocktail/ drink service is adequate most days. The players club is pretty cheap about free play even at its highest tier (x-card), but does sponsor lots of giveaways. I do enjoy it here and am very glad they enhanced the non- smoking area. Waiting for more of the modern variants of video poker! Also, NYY is a great steak place, and other food options exist, including a deli thatis open late.

**Disappointing Experience at the Non-Smoking Area** My recent visit to the non-smoking area of Coconut Creek Casino was far from enjoyable, thanks to the lackluster service from Carla. From the moment we sat down, she barely acknowledged our presence. When we did ask for something, she would bring it over without saying a word. There was no interaction, no courtesy—just silence. However, it was clear she had plenty of energy to chat with male customers and her friends who worked at the casino, while we were left feeling ignored and unwelcome. Our drinks would be empty for long periods, and when she did notice, she seemed far more concerned with her tip bucket than providing basic service. If tips are that important, maybe some focus on customer service would go a long way—treating your guests well will lead to better tips. I won’t be returning to this section of the casino. Frankly, I’d rather deal with the second-hand smoke in other areas than feel invisible.

Seminole Casino Coconut Creek 📍Coconut Creek, FL Follow eatzwithsweetz on ig for more! One of the best places to be honestly! It never closes! And once the weekend rolls around there's a ton of free play giveaways and live music performances! Many of the restaurants are open til about 3am and you can get a good drink at any time! I won some money and spent it at 1st Street Deli once I got hungry. I had the fried Mahi sandwich. It was a little on the thin side but it was still yummy. I had a great time! I'll definitely be back for more entertainment and to try another restaurant! When's the last time you went to the casino? #seminolecasinococonutcreek #casino #coconutcreek #livemusic #drinks #latenight #Deli #mahi #freeplay #seminole #entertainment #slots #1ststreetdeli #foodreview #foodcritic #soflofoodie #fortlauderdalefoodies #floridafoodie #browardfood #fortlauderdalefood #floridafood #browardcounty #eatzwithsweetz #letseatz

Seminole Casino Coconut Creek offers a fantastic concert experience right in the heart of Broward County, making it a convenient entertainment option for locals. With venues like The Pavilion, The Stage at Coco, and an outdoor arena, residents don’t have to travel far to see live performances. The intimate settings, great acoustics, and easy access to dining and parking make it an excellent choice for music lovers in the area. Having a high-quality concert venue so close adds to the vibrant entertainment scene in Broward. And did I mention less traffic.
