I use to love this salon, but after my last experience I will not be returning. I had made an appointment for a pedicure in advance for 4/16 at 6:15 PM. Upon my arrival I stood in the check in line that was crowded by two other customers. While waiting, one of the employees barked at me from across the salon, as if I was inconveniencing them by standing in the check-in line, and told me to not wait and instead pick my polish. I quickly picked a color and returned in the front for check-in but the same employee barked at me again telling me I didn’t pick a color. After showing them my polish in hand, I was barked at again and told to go sit in the back at any pedicure chair of my choice. Upon arriving in the back all the chairs were extremely dirty and there were mystery substances at the bottom of the tubs along with grime all over the floors. I understand they use the plastic linings for the tubs and replace them for every client, so you’re never making contact with the actual tub, but that doesn’t mean that the tubs should be dirty or the floors. After waiting about 10 minutes in the back, I was approached by my pedicurist, who handed me the menu and asked me to select a pedicure. I selected the deluxe pedicure, which should’ve lasted an estimated 45 minutes. I did not leave until 7:30, an entire hour and 15 minutes after my Appointment time. This was not because I was getting a thorough pedicure, It was because I was being neglected. My pedicure would maybe work on me for 2 to 3 minutes and then run around the salon for another 10 to 15. In the entire time, I was there, I don’t think my pedicurist worked on me more than 20 minutes total. If I’m paying for a deluxe spa treatment, I would expect that I’m getting my money’s worth. My pedicurist instead spent most of my appointment running the cash register, check in, chit chatting with other colleagues, and getting ready for close. Once I got home, I realized how poorly my pedicure had been done as The skin around my nails had not been cut back, my feet were not any smoother than when I went in there, and many other reasons why I went to get a pedicure to begin with were not even addressed. I walked out with a better result the last time I visited this salon and I purchased the cheaper option, beyond disappointed with the...
Read moreHonestly, one of the worst experiences of my life. I had gotten my nails done, asked for a full set of simple acrylic nails with simple lines as a design. My total was around $75 and I had tipped 20% for what I thought was a good experience. I get home and notice all these HUGE mistakes. Didnt clip my nails, the fake nails aren’t flush against my actual nail, I have hardened dip powder under the nails (which I had made it very clear I had wanted basic acrylics). The website says $40 for a full set of acrylics, which I had found out after I did a little investigating. And apparently, a few horribly drawn lines are an extra $15. Not to mention, the guy didn’t even do the designs i wanted (I provided a picture for). Anyways, I go in the next day to get some help, and the guy who did my nails proceeds to tell me I’m wrong? Oh! And the nail tech was on his phone the whole time calling someone, so how does he know what was right and wrong? Anyways, thankfully a really nice lady offers to give me both a refund and a nail fix, which I really appreciated!! But, then I received a gift certificate, and no refund that night? Fast forward to today. I go back in. Everything is going REALLY well. Until we get to the act of actually painting my nails. He added a base coat and didn’t ask my opinion until after it was applied, so I couldnt say anything. The base was way too thin, and way too pink. We finish, and I’m so upset, that I just want to get my $75+20% tip refund and get out. However, he hands me another gift certificate and tells me that he won’t give me a refund for the horrible service I experienced both times? And there’s only $30 on this gift certificate, but I am never coming back! So, it was great. I was scammed out of 90 some odd dollars, and received really bad customer service and...
Read moreToday was my first time visiting NAcessity nail salon and I am sad to give this salon such a low score when it is right outside my neighborhood (Cordera/Wolf Ranch) and the salon itself is very clean and modern.
I also made an appointment in advance and it was not during the busy time period (since most of the staff were sitting in the pedicure seats on their phones).
The receptionist was a bit on the rude side when I arrived and pointed me to the tablet to check in. Although I told her this was my first time at the location. The checkout process was not any better.
My Pedicure was AMAZING! Thank You Sheracel! Not only did she make me feel comfortable and welcomed she also made very polite conversation but let me read my book while I relaxed and gave me the option to upgrade my Pedicure - of course I said yes! I will be going back to this location just for another pedicure by her in the future.
My full set (on the other hand) was upsetting. My full set was from a stylist named Tammy-Ngoc DO (I tipped her via Venmo). And although she was polite she did not ask me to wash my hands after the filing (leaving dust beneath my polish). She also did not apply an under coat polish- she applied the gel polish straight onto my dusty nails. And lastly - When my polish was complete (she did already apply a top coat) she put cuticle oil on the tips of my nails and told me, "there's lotion if you want it". I do not expect the gel polish to last on my nails for long since I work in the medical field and I am constantly washing my heads or changing gloves -thanks.
The full tip set and the check in/out process is the main reason to the low score for this google review. But my pedicure experience is the ONLY reason this review...
