DO NOT follow the google maps directions to Midnight Falls. THIS RATING IS FOR THE MAP, NOT THE FALLS.

We are not from there, we followed the directions off Old Stage Rd. It took down an access rd that we clearly were not suppose to be on. It is a road meant for 4 wheelers or vehicles meant to be on mountain roads. It’s rough, very steep to the point I thought we were going to roll, narrow, no place to turn around, and no cell service. There was a gate at the very bottom that we were able to get turned around (barely) and had to get back up the hill after that which I didn’t think we could do. Had the road been wet, we wouldn’t have gotten out at all. It was a terrifying experience and actually ruined our whole trip because everyone was so shaken up. It’s a forest service rd. It needs a sign at the top off Stage Rd that says “maintenance rd- No public access, no access to falls”. It was absolutely horrible. This road needs taken off Google Maps. To access the falls, stay safe and go to Seven Falls and hike it that way. We ended up not even going as this road did not lead to the falls plus it’s not a...

Don’t even try. This basically doesn’t exist. Takes you to a closed gate that says “Private Property of Seven Falls”. Drive up is so steep that on our way down my brakes overheated and were two seconds away from giving out entirely, despite doing my best to stay off of them as much...

⬇️ Here’s everything you need to know about visiting Seven Falls! Save this post for later and follow along for more outdoorsy recommendations! ⇢ BEFORE YOU GO: 📍 Seven Falls located in CO Springs 💚 Opens March 29th ⏱️ Mar 29 - May 20: 10am-6pm (closed Tues, Wed, Thurs) May 22 - Sept 2: 10am-8pm (closed Tues) *Check sevenfalls.com for up-to-date hours & closures 🚙 Parking is located at Norris Penrose Event Center. 🚌 A complimentary shuttle will drive you to the park entrance. 🎟️ You need a ticket to enter the park. Tickets are $20 per person (and SO worth it in my opinion!) You can purchase these in advance online to save $1. Click the link at @seven_falls to get your tickets! ⇢ WHAT TO DO: 🛗 Take the in-mountain elevator to Eagle’s Nest observation point to see a bird’s eye view of the waterfalls! 💦 Climb up the 224 steps to the top of the waterfalls. It’s definitely a strenuous climb so take it slow! 🥾 At the top, you have 2 short hiking trails to choose from: Midnight Falls and Inspiration Point. I suggest doing both since they can be done in under an hour. 🥙 Once you’re done, head back down the stairs and have a delicious lunch at Restaurant 1858. And you have to try the Red Leg Prospector’s Pick Kölsch! 🍺 🍦 Before you leave the park, grab a bubble waffle ice cream from the Falling Waffles truck! ⇢ THINGS TO KNOW: ☀️ Most of the hike/climb is not shaded. Bring a hat and sunscreen! 😬 The stairs can be a little scary for people who don’t love heights. Take it slow and try to not look down. If I was able to do it, so can you! (Honestly, I found the way down much easier fear-wise!) 🌸 Before you head home, you should drive to the stunning Broadmoor Hotel to grab a coffee and sit by the lake. HAPPY ADVENTURING! 🏔️☀️🦋❤️ #coloradosprings #thebroadmoor #denverlife #hikingtrails #coloradogram
