Great experience, but be patient.
You park at the shuttle site, but don't pay for entry till you get to the actual park. We waited in line for 45 minutes to an hour in the sun before we got on a shuttle. There's at least two large buses that can hold around 40 people and 2-3 small buses that hold around 14 people. A shuttle will show up about every 10-20 minutes. The ride to the park is about 15 minutes.
Once you get to the park the cost is $17 for 13 years and older, and $11 for 12 years and younger. A "tram" ride is offered for an extra $2 per person (or automatically included for seniors), but it IS NOT a tram. It's another shuttle that will bring you just a little bit closer to the first and second sets of stairs and back. I was annoyed by this because I wondered just how many people got duped out of their money thinking they were going to get to ride an actual tram.
The park is very clean and has very beautiful scenery. Maps are offered, but only serve to identify the rock formations and points of interest. They are by no means necessary for navigation. The maps say no food or drink is allowed, but that wasn't enforced at all. We saw people having little picnics and we brought water and snacks as well. Dogs are allowed and they have poop bags located throughout the area. However, bringing a dog up the flights of stairs seems like a really dumb idea. The road to the stairs runs parallel to a stream which offers a nice little extra to the scenery.
The first set of stairs is 184 steps up and is pretty steep. There are three flights so you can take breaks in between. An elevator is available from the bottom to the top and the "mine" leading to the elevator is a great place to get out of the heat. There is a bathroom at the top of this area.
The second set of stairs is 224 steps and is broken up into two flights, so you have a place to take a break in between. This is where the "seven falls" are. In reality, this is one fall with seven different named sections. Once you reach the top, you are at the trail head for a hike to several points of interest ranging from 20 minutes to 1 hour round trip. There are no bathrooms at the top of this area.
Don't forget, you have to take the stairs back down. We heard of a lot of people struggling because they weren't used to the elevation, which is around 6,700 ft. There is a gift shop that offers water, and there was supposed to be a food truck and restaurant, but neither were open on our visit. There were bathrooms conveniently located throughout the park except at the top of the waterfalls.
Overall this is a great park. There were people of all age groups in attendance, including elderly. However, even if you are in decent shape, making it all the way up to the top of each staircase will leave you a bit winded. The scenery is beautiful and the park is well kept. Even if you don't climb any of the stairs, it's still worth going to see. Be patient when you're leaving since you'll have to wait for the shuttle again, but this time there's shade available.
The reason for 4 stars was the long wait for the shuttle and the tram scam. They should definitely have more buses available and also change the word tram to shuttle. That being said, we would...

⭐☆☆☆☆
I recently visited Seven Falls in Colorado and was initially blown away by the breathtaking views and natural beauty of the area. The experience was truly one of a kind and I was almost ready to declare it as the best experience I've had while visiting Colorado. However, a deeply troubling incident occurred that completely overshadowed the positive aspects of my visit.
As I was walking back to my car after enjoying the stunning scenery, I noticed that someone had left their dogs locked inside their truck. It was evident that the dogs had been left unattended for a minimum of 2-3 hours, as they were last seen by another concerned party at 10:15 am and I discovered them at around 12:30 pm. The poor animals were clearly distressed and in need of immediate attention.
Hoping that the employees of Seven Falls would take responsibility, I approached them to inform them of the situation. To my shock and disappointment, they outright refused to get involved, citing a fear of starting problems. This response was utterly unacceptable given the circumstances. It is the responsibility of the establishment to ensure the safety and well-being of all visitors, including their pets.
Left with no other option, I took it upon myself to contact animal control for assistance. However, I cannot confirm if they actually showed up or if any action was taken to rescue the distressed dogs. The entire ordeal left me deeply disturbed and saddened by the lack of accountability in the parking lot.
The disregard shown for the well-being of these innocent animals is absolutely appalling and reflects poorly on the management of Seven Falls. Their unwillingness to address the situation and their fear of "starting problems" is not only a failure in customer service but also a breach of basic ethical standards.
As a result of this incident, I am forced to give Seven Falls a one-star rating. While the natural beauty of the area is undeniably remarkable, the lack of parking lot accountability and the dismissive attitude of the employees tarnish the overall experience. I hope that this review serves as a wake-up call for the management to prioritize the safety and welfare of all visitors, including their...
Read moreVery nice experience, must reserve online, park at Penrose event center and board shuttle. The shuttle stops at the gates to a very well maintained cement path, they had you a cute map that has scenic points to see along the way. Nice bathroom halfway to stairs. There was a “food truck” with bubble waffle icecream that looked amazing, gift shop with roasted nuts cart, then a nice Rock/geo store like the one at the Broadmor. An elevator can take you to a viewing point which would be really nice at night when the falls are lit up. Then the stairs to the top. At the end of the stairs there are 2 small hikes you can continue on either a 20 min or 40 min out and back. We stopped at the restaurant before the stairs and made a reservation which I am glad we did because it started to look busy as we finished the hike and stairs. The Hikers salad with added grilled chicken is in the top best Salads I have ever had. It was so good! The menu price seems good until they add on the tax and additional service fees plus tip and you end up with a much higher bill than expected. But worth it. We split a plate and saw other splitting plate like a burger they cut in half and brought out on 2 plates for that group which would be great. Would bring a few dollars to tip shuttle driver and go early. We did the 10am shuttle and it seemed to be pretty empty when we arrived but as we were finishing up it had become crowded and the paths on the stairs only fit one person at a time so I could imagine it being hard to wait for people to pass to get up or down the stairs once it is busy. I wore tennis shoes, shorts, long sleeves, short sleeves and my camelback. Took my long sleeves off at one point but was chilly after. Glad i had my camelback so I had water but was hands free to use the railings. Would definitely recommend and will probably return to see it at night when...
