Glacier Inn Motel — Attraction in Columbia Falls

Our family of 5 enjoyed 2 rooms for 2 nights at this motel. Note that we are NOT motel people, but this property was clean, the beds were comfortable, the showers were hot, and the location was good for the area. It was also very convenient to the FCA (Kalispell/Glacier airport was 11 minutes away). The AC worked so well, we had to turn it to be on the fan instead of AC. The little park across the street was nice for a picnic dinner (all the restaurants were packed & under staffed, so we did takeout & ate in the park). It was also close to the Blue Moon Rodeo, which we enjoyed (but get there an hour early!!)! ||||We drove down to Flathead Lake and Kalispell one day, and up to Whitefish Lake & ski resort another day. As others have said in their reviews, it is not fancy and there are no frills (no pool, hot tub, washer/dryer, breakfast), but again clean, comfortable & convenient. Our rooms had fridge & microwave as well as hairdryers, so that was nice. One thing we got here that we did not get the whole 3 weeks of traveling to different properties was daily housekeeping! Clean trashcans & fresh towels are always appreciated :-) Also, it was a very quiet area, a little off...

I was in a real jam. I was passing through town and my headlights all burned out at the same time, I pulled off in the Columbia Falls RV park across the street and explained my situation, but Karla cruelly refused to let me sign in after hours (it was only 830pm) and told me "There's a hotel across the street". She didn't even care if an accident happened where someone could have been injured or killed.

The manager at this motel, is a wonderful and kind man who helped me out. I explained my situation and he asked "what do you need?" and I said I only needed a place to park so I could wait for first light and get my car repaired. He kindly offered me to park in his lot and even pointed out some restrooms I could use.

I don't know how I could repay him other than to come here and express how kind he was implore you to please support his business. People like him are what makes the world a better place. Everything in the area was booked or way overpriced. I found Glacier Inn Motel on Google and I called. Carlo was so very nice and welcoming. She not only accommodated my needs, she gave my family a room that was perfect for us. I told her I didn't care really what kind of beds I got, i just needed a room. When I checked in I immediately fell in love with the vintage decor and the kind treatment. I went to the room only to find it impeccably clean and two twin beds on one side and the other a queen. My husband and I had our own space and our children theirs. The beds where so comfortable, in fact better than mine at home. It quiet and definitely booked up. Parking was convenient, the location is perfect as well to Kalispel and Glacier. There is a park with a playground across the street and a public pool down the road.
