My wife and I went to disc replay to price out selling back an Xbox and N64 and some games. I wasn’t dead set on selling it, but it is mostly just been collecting dust on the shelf and not seeing much use. Justin helped us at the Columbus location. Justin was very personable explains every step of the process to us and explained where the pricing comes from for what they offer. He let us know ahead of time about how long it will take to go through all the items and come up with an offer for the items. We’ve been in disc replay a couple of times in the past, but had never sold anything back before. I’ve done a little bit of research online to get an idea of what I might be able to So them for, but didn’t seem worth the hassle of shipping or having to meet someone in person over a price. Justin went through a couple controllers to Xbox and about a dozen different games. He gave me a call after he was done going through everything right as I was returning to the store. We got a very reasonable Cash offer And an even better in-store credit offer. We ended up using the indoor credit to purchase a light quest three and a case For a reasonable price. Just answered our questions about other items that store accepted for buying back, where the prices come from, and even some other local options for items that weren’t accepted this particular display location, for example DVDs without a case. Justin made my wife and I feel very comfortable throughout the whole process. We will definitely be returning to look at selling back some other items and seeing what we could exchange them for or just selling them outright. Having previous experience selling back at other electronic stores or pawn shops, where the experience can feel Much less personable, and sometimes even downright aggressive, This was a very very Pleasant surprise. The whole process took less than 45 minutes even with all of our questions and all of Justin‘s explanation of everything that we asked about. Everything related to the offer is very transparent. I felt confident that we were getting a fair offer. I highly recommend this location for any general gaming, electronics, or just a trip down nostalgia lane. There’s a lot of cool unique items that just aren’t as available. It’s clear you’re communicating with others who love gaming, movies and are willing to help in any way they can. This experience has guaranteed my family will definitely be returning in the future!...
Read moreStaff is super kind, and haven't had quality issue prior to this, but now its hit or miss. The store offered a refund if I brought the 3DS back to the store, but I was visiting Columbus and won't be back in the for see able future, it isn't worth a 3 hour drive just to go to the store for $95 in a refund. So that is on me for the distance and logistical issues of going to the store in person, and NOT of the store.
Bought a 3DS for $95 and found the charge port to be damaged and looks like its ready to fall apart at any minuet, the charger fits in loose and will end up having to order a cradle to reliably charge it. The port looks in similar condition like what plastic looks like when a dog chews it up. (This will need a micro soldering and repairing service of the motherboard to fix as the port is soldered onto the main board, which is expensive)
Also found deep white scratches in the front screen, that are hard to not notice, and the front facing camera was scratched beyond use and now has a light grey dot in the middle that makes it not function properly as most of the camera view space is not usable. (It's hard to see in the photo, but the circled light grey spot is what it looks like from all of the scratches on the lens)
So if you buy consoles from this store, please please please look at it in your car before you leave as you may find a console that should have been repaired or bought for the parts bin. I'm just disappointment the console was put out for sale with these easy to notice damages, that jump right out to anyone, that would have been caught just by looking at the console or testing it for functionality, and is beyond normal wear and tear when buying a used console. I understand that used consoles are not going to be brand-new condition and will show signs of wear. Every time I go to charge it, I am having to hope the charge port doesn't snap and have to get it repaired to...
Read moreKamila the Manager is extremely rude, when a card is being charged and we’re getting notified of every transaction then for some reason on their new system it’s says declined, we ask if she will call someone to make sure or figure out why this is happening and the only response is well it’s your card. No it’s not so we ended up going back in today and she had to refund almost $800.00. It’s not hard to admit you need help and instead of doing that simple thing she’s now lost customers that shop there almost every week. DO NOT SHOP at this location you’re going to end up losing money and catching a bad attitude from the person in charge. While waiting almost 45 Minutes for her to figure out her mistake I also noticed the store is FILTHY. Would love to actually speak to a manager above her or the owner as apparently she won’t connect us with them...
