The Moroccan Steam Spa in Columbus, Ohio was Incredible! I HIGHLY!!! recommend this quaint, deceptively modest spa location. It's nestled in the middle of a shopping plaza and it More Than backs up the quality spa services it boasts! And I've experienced some of the best from the larger, more commercialized Box-brand spas. I found this gem googling Turkish Spas in Ohio for my birthday celebration, with relatively Few results populating. The cream rises to the Top! I got the Royal Treatment and TRULY felt like a Princess for a day. It began with a classic Hammam & Elif Foaming massage that was slightly disconcerting, initially, to the western prude hiding in me. Claudia was skilled and eased any disquieting with confidence & thoughtful professionalism. Then a relaxing swedish massage that focused quite a bit of time on easing the knots, pinched nerve, and soreness in the left side of my back & neck. Then, finishing with a steaming facial, followed by a sumptuous feast of Indian cuisine from the restaurant next door, words can't describe the tranquility experienced. Angela, one of the partners, was kind and hospitable. The lighting, decor, music, massage tables, steam bath, all added to the Perfect Spa day experience! My only complaint: there is not a location in Southwest Ohio & it's 120 miles away!

I will not be going to another spa place after my experience here. This was easily the best spa experience I ever had especially on a budget. I took a risk booking a new place for my birthday and I was having a pretty cruddy birthday till I came here. The hammam was absolute bliss. I got the Sultan service. I was nervous that maybe the steam would be too hot, or the water may be too hot, or the scrubbing would be hard. It wasn't, it was perfect. and the massage was absolute perfection and they worked on all my problems spots. As long as this place is here, I'm not going anywhere else. HIGHLY recommend.

I was very excited when I found this spa. I booked 2 spa packages for me and my sister which consisted of , 2 Elif packages, vagi steam, 60min Swedish and a 60minDeep tissue massage and 2 oxygen facials. My appointment was for 4pm, they called me and asked me to come in at 3:30pm so that there would be time for both of us. No problem. I planned a girls day to relax and de-stress, and it was my sister's first time at any kind of spa, so we were very excited. When we arrived, the door was locked and there was a woman waiting outside. The staff arrived at the same time we did, our arrival time was 3:31pm on the dot. When we went inside we weren't offered anything, no welcome drink nothing and I didn't know the names of the ladies servicing us and they didn't ask for our names. Still don't know who they were ! We were told to wait while they got set up. When they took us back to the changing room we asked to use the restroom, when we got to the bathroom, the toilet had old feces in it and it was clogged. We told the ladies that the toilet was clogged, when she couldn't fix it she came.back to us and said toilets not working sorry. We had to use the bathroom before we began, so, we left to go to the restaurant next door to use the bathroom. Once we got back we changed and they told us to get into the steam room. The steam was barely working, and it sprayed hot water on me several times as they had me laying right under the steam spout. the staff came in quickly and began working, no explanation of what they were doing, and we didn't have enough time for our skin to soften before they started. I then realized that they weren't using morrocan soap, and they were using OLD USED body loofah sponges!!! Then I asked them are you going to use the clay body treatment she said yes. But there was nothing on our skin, i was touching my arms hoping to feel something nothing on our skin. Towards the end they used an old DIAL soap to soap us down with. After the treatment our skin was dry and had mildew smell to it. The facial was horrible, my skin was so dull and dry afterward, no serums or toner or moisturizer was applied at all. The staff was very nice nothing against them at all, just the services were not as described on the website. The massage, she didnt tell me her name and she came in the room and just started working. Not once did she ask me where I needed extra work or anything. The lady giving me the facial said that they are under a time limit so they have to rush. Mind you, we were the only people there and they closed at 7. So idk why there was a need to rush. No one offered us water tea nothing. When we got dressed and we left to go home we had to shower again, bc our skin and hair and clothes smelled like mildew / wet towels. The slippers had lint in them and they looked used, the bathroom robes were full of lint and dingy looking, it made me itch. Nothing plush or soft about anything in this place ! The next day I called to voice my concerns and ask for a refund bc the services were horrible. She called me a thief and someone who was trying to take money from people. I was appalled at her response as this is Not Customer service. She told me I could come back at a discount and I said I will never go there again for fear of getting a fungus or something. I told her I will dispute the charge with my bank , I spend over $400 at her establishment, she threatened me with cameras ! Why do you have cameras in a ALL WOMEN MUSLIM SPA?! I Have been to many morroccan spas and korean spas in my life and this was THE worst experience of my life. I WOULDNT RECOMMEND ANYONE GOING HERE FOR YOUR OWN...

This has been my best, most relaxing experience I've had at a spa! I've had mediocre experiences due to customer service and allergic reactions in the past due to my sensitive skin. But this excelled my expectations of premium customer service and quality skin care products.

I was referred by my best friend to come try out this spa since she knows I am into natural, organic herbal scents/aromas and culture. I checked out google and yelp reviews and read all great comments about the hamman turkish bath. I had a 10:30 am appt for a brazilian wax and The Elif package includes: A 60-minute classc hammam A full-body rhassoul, lasting 15 minutes A foam massage, lasting 15 minutes I waited in the lobby area for my service all but 5 minutes because my spa professional was wrapping a convo on the phone with a client. However she acknowledged me, smiled and told me she would be just a few moments. She then walked me over to the changing/relaxation room where she told me how it would work. I would undress then walk into the steam room, lay down on a yoga mat, pillow and foam roller under my knees. I did not feel uncomfortable because as a woman who gets pap smears and brazilian waxes, I mean really how can you? LOL. No but honestly, I think the warmth of Tai's friendly spirit eased any awkwardness that might have been there. It was quite the experience that left me feeling so relaxed. It's a repetition of hot water being poured over your body, back and front, scrubbing with herbal soaps and rosewater mixtures, moroccan volcanic ash sitting on you for 10 minutes then Tai returning to wash it off, my hair being shampooed and head massage and lastly a long wooden stick with Tai blowing into it and big balls of foam covering your body.

I don't know how to explain it any better you just have to book an appt and experience this luxury!!! My brazilian was after all of this with me wrapped in a nice oversized terry cloth robe walking to the next room. It was painless and quick and I definitely will be a customer of Tai's from now on. I love Moroccan Steam Spa! Thank you Tai!

Sn: Bring a change of clothes and underwear if you get any turkish...

I received the basic Hammam and a 60-minute Deep Tissue massage.

I had called and spoken with the receptionist, who booked me for the Rhassoul and a 60-minute Deep Tissue massage.

After receiving the first portion of the spa, I thought about how it didn’t quite match up to the description of the Rhassoul. When I moved over to the massage room and was informed I was receiving a 45-minute Swedish and not what I had booked, I discovered that the receptionist had incorrectly written me down for the Sultan package—which includes 2 basic treatments.

When I had arrived, the only question was, “Are you the 4:30?” I didn’t think I needed to follow-up with them to make sure they booked me correctly. After all, he had been the one to recommend the Rhassoul.

Though the Hammam was absolutely lovely, I was incredibly disappointed to not get to experience the red clay and volcanic ash. (It had sounded fantastic!)

The lady who provided the massage was able to change the 45 Swedish to the 60 Deep Tissue, but in the end, I was still charged full price for both even though they had booked me incorrectly and I did not receive a portion that I had been looking forward to.

The massage rooms didn’t have any aromatherapy to add to the relaxation. It’s an excellent massage, but basic in the decoration and atmosphere.

And—this is totally a personal opinion—it could definitely be enhanced by providing tea in between services. Morrocan tea is incredible, and it would have highlighted the experience with a few minutes to sit and relax before immediately moving on to the second portion of the spa.

I will probably go back in a few months to try the Rhassoul, but I may pass on the massage next time.

TL;DR: If you book with them, know you’re in for a treat! But, when you arrive, double-check what they...
