Rural King — Attraction in Columbus

Okay, so here's the thing.... this is not the usual store I go into.... to be honest, I dont go into many, at all... long before COVID, but especially now, ... after COVID.

I usually only sent to Wa-Mart, Jay C Food Stores, Kroger, CVS annnnd, yeah that's about it... BECAUSE, my body WON'T allow for it. I've already been instruct tty ed by my doctors that I CANNOT lift more than 1/2 gallon of milk or even bend over to put on shoes. I have an ACTUAL prescription slip for slide on shoes....

A dew years after that I almost died! Not 1, 2, but THREE TIMES .... !!!! The last time was over malnutrition and vitamin deficiency. My body DOES NOT digest and ABSORB the nutrients and vitamins from foods and drinks like other ppl.

So, going to thia store was very gor me, but we were after a speacial dog toy for a VWRY SPECIAL DOG .... that, actually DOES NOT, belong to anyone in my family. However this dog is a SUPER close neighbor to my sister and we went to Rual King to get a 5 knot rope (which he can tare to shreds in a matter of days) bc he LOVES it soooo much! But we couldnt find a 5 knot, like what is advertised on their website (for their location)!

We did find a few 3 knot ropes. So we got one. He loved it... it did NOT last as long. But seeing how happy he was was with it to make myself (my body get out of the car and walk all over looking for it)!

The problem with thia store, is that we HAVE been back agin for another 3 knot rope (since that's what we know they have)

Buuuuttt.... I dont think the employees and or managers walk the aisles to see what the store REALLY looked like....

It's a DISASTER! We bought flea medicine and several other things (car food and litter) and it is an absolute mess in there. There is broken bags of dog and cat food and litter as well everywhere.... its literally all over the floor and shelves.... there are things laying on the shelves that customers have removed, opened, stolen from, empty packages just laying there. There are items with NO price or even a tag on the hook or shelves for them

This store REALLY needs a COMPLETE MAKEOVER!!!!!

P.S. We love the nee popcorn machine. Very COVID...

Always my favorite place to shop!

Not only are they the cheapest in town for my dogs dry kibble (Taste of the Wild $48 compared to $54+ at every single store around plus on-line) but where else can you purchase firearms, ammo, pet supplies, food, clothing, tools, outdoor/recreational, poultry, automotive/home/farm equipment, an extremely good selection of kids toys which you cannot find anywhere else and the largest variety of high quality boots, all in one place, but you can also get popcorn while you browse around.

Recently went in for pig & cow ears for my dog, but left with jerky, flavored honey snack tubes, 9mm ammo, 3 new mags for my 9 and AR, (much cheaper than anyplace online) and leaf springs + a tandem equalizer for my utility trailer.

The only thing I don't understand, though.. Is why everything in the store is very reasonably priced (on occasion, cheapest in town) but the oil filters for my truck and Jeep (Mopar MO-090) are nearly $10, but I can get them at Wal-Mart for $6.

The atmosphere alone, is reason enough to visit this place. You won't find genuine customer service at many places these days, like you will at...

WORSE CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! When you travel 30 Miles one way to purchase a firearm and the salesperson doesn't want to sell it to you because he has an hour before going home and wants you to put it in "layaway" and come back in the morning so he doesn't have to mess with you and starts telling us the firearm we want is a "LOW QUALITY" gun which im sure Taurus would disagree and wouldnt want you representing their product any how. Customers are NOT an interruption to your work they are the REASON for your work, and paycheck, and job security. So while we waited for the background check to come back which was approximately 30 min. Why didn't you do your job and answer our questions about other firearms or prep for your evening close. We spent about 650.00 dollars in ONE TRIP that night and that will be THE LAST TIME we purchase anything from there. So shame on you Andrew for having the WORSE CUSTOMER SERVICE I'VE EVER EXPERIENCED AND SHAME ON YOU RURAL KING FOR LOSING A VERY VALUABLE CUSTOMER. And... if I could've gave half or ZERO stars I...
