Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge — Attraction in Commerce City

An awesome place to see wildlife up close. We stopped at the visitor center first to grab a map and an audio guide you can play on your phone, which was super helpful. Driving through, we saw mule deer, bald and golden eagles, white-tailed deer, and tons of prairie dogs. The highlight? A herd of bison walked right in front of our car—less than four feet away! I love this park! I try to visit every time I'm in Denver. It's a fantastic place for everyone to explore. The park features an educational visitor center, a gift shop with bathrooms, and walking and biking trails. There's also a scenic loop you can drive, which takes about 40 minutes if you go straight through.
