We decided to spend Christmas iin Williamsburg. We purchased the Bounce ticket which was a good deal as we got to go back and forth between Christmastown and Colonial Williamsburg. Unfortunately, many Busch Garden employees need coaching on providing customer service. Several times we asked questions in specific areas and the employees were mildly rude or had no clue. One good example was the parking lot attendant who did not know that tthe Bounce ticket included parking for all days. Welcome Center did not know the park hours for Christmas Day. Another perfect example was the ignorant comment about which disabilities will or will not be seated in the handicap area, that the attendant made at the Globe Theater. You should not need a scooter or wheel chair to sit in the handicap section. As a person with disabilities and a handicap placard owner and ID, that was certainly not appreciated. We deserve every courtesy that is also afforded to others.
That said, the conductor on the train was most helpful and courteous. He apparently showed up for customer service training. Funny thing is, he didn't know a goose from swan!
Keep your employees informed!! Especially when asking them a question about their area!
Poor meal choices and open restaurants. . Food was cold; prices were ridiculous for cold food. Where was the hot chocolate? Hot tea? Coffee? There was a missed oppoortunity at closed kiosks if ever there was one.
Disappointed with Clyde’s and Collies. Only one collie that was a bit temperamental to be touched. Good info on the horse but too dark at 5:30 and lots of shadows in pictures.
Entertainment shows were very good for an amusement park. Sure wish people with small crying/noisy children would remove themselves from the audience so the rest of us can enjoy the show.
Price to rent an ECV is outrageous! Tried to reserve on line said sold out for days. Walked in the park and was able to rent one. Could have never done the park without it. Need to have lights in ECV so other people can see them instead of always walking into and in front of you like it’s your fault!
Blue lights and other poor lighting are not good for people with a vision impairment. Difficult to see other people and navigate the paths.
Overall the decorations were beautiful. But I will never go to an amusement park on Christmas again - Too many people and too few food choices - another missed opportunity if there ever was one. Think smarter BG - know what the peole want and...
Read moreFrom the moment I stepped into Busch Gardens Christmas Town, we were was transported into a magical winter wonderland! The twinkling lights and festive decorations created an enchanting atmosphere. We had family visiting from out of town from infants to boomers and we were all excited for the evening spent in Christmas Town!
The attention to detail in every corner of the park is simply astounding. Each themed area offers its own unique holiday experience, making it an adventure to explore them all. Whether it's the charming European villages or the whimsically decorated forests, every step is a new discovery.
The Christmas shows are a must-see – they capture the spirit of the season perfectly with talented performers and heartwarming music.
The festive food options are a treat, with everything from traditional holiday favorites to unique seasonal delights. And, of course, the hot chocolate and Irish Coffee is the perfect way to keep warm while strolling through this winter paradise.
It's the perfect place to create lasting memories and immerse yourself in the joy and magic of the Christmas season. Highly recommend for a festive family outing or a romantic holiday date! We'll be back next year!
I know some of the responses were negative here for things like large crowds, cost of food and oddly for not taking cash. We're in a cashless society and most event venues no longer take cash, but Busch Gardens has many machines that allow you to covert your cash into a park card. The food prices are inline with what one would expect in an event venue, but the quality and quantity of food is MUCH better than a lot of other places we've visited. (We're amusement park junkies). Large crowds are everywhere during the holiday season and of course people are going to want to go to a beautiful holiday event with their family. We found almost everyone to be friendly, polite and fun-loving!
We felt that we got a lot of enjoyment for the investment we made in our...
Read moreI have done Christmas Town for the past 3 years pre covid, and it has always been amazing and feels like what I would imagine the North Pole is like. This year, 2020, is my 4th time going and it was awful. Half of the park is closed off with no lights. The sky ride was completely closed as was Mach tower and all of the roller coasters that were advertised as supposed to be open were closed “due to cold weather” even though it was only 39 and in past years have been open in much colder temps. The train was running but it was not the Christmas Town express, it was just a ride in the dark with no holiday lights and to top it off, none of the shows were available... the “night before Christmas on ice” is my absolute favorite! And the main reason I go. Many of the shops and restaurants were closed or offered limited selections. This is especially disconcerting because they are still charging full price to get in. I have a season Pass so technically It didn’t cost me to get in ( even though I’ve been paying all year and haven’t been able to use it) but my sister and her family were going to come, but backed out because it was going to be $200 for her family of 4, not including any in park purchases and food. I understand that covid has affected many things, but it is despicable that this company would use false advertising to get people in the door, when the reality is that there is less than 1/2 the normal amount of activities available. I understand companies are trying to stay afloat but false advertising and ripping people off is unacceptable and I will be terminating my membership because I don’t want to support a company that uses such underhanded techniques. Everyone is trying to make the best of 2020. It don’t lie and cheat people, especially during...
