OMG!!!! I canโt believe that Chambers is still in business!! When I was a student at Charles Drew Jr high school (1970 - 1973) a lot of the young men there worked for Chambers. You could always tell them because they dressed nicer and acted more mature.
His niece was in my home room and she was employed there as well. We were always amazed because she work stockings and nice dresses to school.
I only had a pair taps put on my shoes there but I always equated Chambers with opportunity. He gave kids jobs when no one else was. And he obviously taught them a lot things about attitude!
I live in Arkansas but look forward to actually visiting their store...

I took a pair of my low-cut cowgirl boots I guess you called them booties and it's going to be really good to see what he does with the heel of my boots. My mother used that shoe shop in the 80s and so did her staff when she was teaching at the school down the street called Miracle Baptist Christian School, all the staff and even the parents took their shoes there because they would do it after they drop off the kids or pick them up...
ย ย ย Read moreExcellent experience ,,I called in first to see if they made belts from scratch..they said yes I would.have to order from a catalog..I said ok..I took my old belt that I needed a copy of..the lady the owner of the shoe place said: "I can refurnished that n make it like new.." I said ok..ill trust u on this one cause I don't know how u do it..when I went to pick up the belt..it was unrecognizable..it was like new,brand new belt..great experience was very happy with the work..amazing..they also, stretch shoes n polished your shoes too..excellent work..I do recommend this...
