(it's long but worth the read) No matter how terrible the end experience was, I can't bring myself to give a 1 star review. The classes are amazing, the instructors are helpful and really put you to work. But if you sign a contract, you better memorize it, you better rehearse it, you better mark your calendars...EVEN IF YOU HAVE A MEDICAL ISSUE. I signed up for unlimited membership ($229/month), they don't allow you to cancel or freeze your account until you've done 3 months (they tell you that verbally in the beginning), once my 3 months were up I froze my account for 2 months (they charge $15 per month of freeze btw- something they don't tell you) my freeze was to be up February. Due to work and health related issues, I officially sent my cancellation in December. Meaning I had at least 1 more month of a freeze. I was told that I would be charged one more time because I didn't cancel 30 days before the next billing cycle...but my account was frozen? I was told that when they freeze your account it stops everything (in my head I'm saying-it didn't stop you from charging me just to freeze it). So basically, if I didn't want to be charged, I should have just cancelled instead of frozen the account. I told them I could provide medical records, fell on deaf ears. I disputed the charge with my bank, which bank ruled in my favor...CP Lakeland charged me again, but this time $274. When I called CP about it, I was told it was a "late fee." When I followed up with my bank they confirmed the first dispute was taken care of and that this was a separate charge. Meanwhile, I have Chris (the manager/ studio owner) texting me, to tell me that the bank charged me a $45 fee due to losing the first dispute. The unprofessionalism and fabrication were what did it for me. Here are actual people paying the literal cost of what could be a car payment just to get healthier, only to be treated like sh*t is not cool. Treat your clients well and they'll do the same. The amount of money the membership was didn't discourage me from referring people to CP and raving about the classes until this happened. It's a shame that something like health and wellness is exploited like this, it's...
Read moreI’m giving three stars, because the instructors are motivational and I enjoyed most of the classes. Some more than others. As you age you will learn the goal should be to do what you can safely. I do feel my fitness improved while I was here, but I was not a beginner. So I knew how to manage what I could or couldn’t do. They are very careful with the older or pregnant clientele, so kudos for that. I wish I could continue to go here, but I will be living more than 45 minutes away and it’s stressful to try to fit it into my day. Be careful with the cancellation policy. When I was leaving for 8 months, I put in notice to cancel knowing that I would have to pay since I didn’t get it in during the exact billing period. They offered a freeze for free, instead of charging me $15 a month. Since I thought I was coming back and it wouldn’t cost me anything extra, I said sure. So since I canceled in the middle of a billing period I not only had to pay for 30 days notice (my fault don’t canceling earlier), but I had to pay for the rest of the billing period, but again I thought I was coming back. So now, I received a text that my billing would start up soon. I requested a cancellation, because I am to far away and of course I’m getting billed for a month and it doesn’t even start right away so it’s like a month and a half. I won’t even be in the state of Florida until October 15th so I can’t use it. I know this is their policy, and they think they did me a favor by holding my membership for free and it’s not that much money, but really all they ended up doing is getting an extra month of my money for doing nothing. It’s my fault I should have put a calendar reminder on. But if you ever forget things make sure you put a calendar reminder on....
Read moreOkay sit down because this one is going to be a loooong one… I CANNOT SAY ENOUGH AMAZING THINGS ABOUT THIS PLACE! When I say Club Pilates Lakeland has changed my life, I mean that in every best way possible. I started attending this studio in April 2025, and not only has my physical health tremendously improved but my mental health has as well. This studio really does treat you like a family. I have taken classes with Chris, Amanda, Kathy, Alison, Robin, Carolina, Cali, Whitney, Jessica, Erica, Melissa, Janet, and Fran, and from my experience, all of their instructors are extremely knowledgeable, kind, funny (which is a great distraction bonus when you’re holding a plank for what feels like forever!) empowering and encouraging throughout the workouts! Everyone has their own style and vibe, and you can pretty quickly feel out what’s best for your body and schedule (they have a TON of different types of classes scheduled all throughout the day so that’s really nice too!) Club Pilates has taught me the importance of prioritizing self-care and now, exercising is just a way of life for me. It’s incorporated into my daily wellbeing routine and I cannot be more grateful that I found this place and had such a wonderful studio with the BEST instructors to learn from and grow as an athlete with. Thank you again, Club Pilates Lakeland, for everything. If I could, I would pack up the entire studio in my suitcase and take y'all with me wherever I go! 🖤 If you are on the fence about trying Pilates… DO IT!!! Just freaking DO IT! I’m...
