I never write a review as a business owner myself, but I want to save myself from the annoyance iv felt all week, I did call asking for the manager only to be left on hold long enough to give up and hand up. We have not been to Bonefish in about a year, last weekend we went as a party of three, to start we had calamari, from there a side salad and a Cesar, my husband had the pork chop side of rice and broccoli l, I chose the salmon, rice and broccoli, my brother the burger and fries,. The lettuce was so soggy and withered and brown, you could NOT GET A FORK in it you had to use a spoon (that soggy). We did not eat it just sat it aside, my husbands pork chop, now this gets interesting the waitress, seemingly annoyed from the beginning, asked him how much pink he wanted in the pork chop...im.no foodie but I'm pretty sure not any so we don't have any death involved. The chop was smothered with pickeled red onion looked pretty good however could have shot out a puff of smoke after cutting into it as it was dry inside and charred on top, my salmon was so loaded with disgusting topping that I had to use a knife to get it off and find it, the bottom of my salmon was similar the jelly on top ( much and glazed gray) absolutely disgusting, i asked for extra on the side and was given that it was deff not something i needed or used, I tried to eat some of it with the rice...welp the rice was as if it was scraped from the pans charred bottom, overcooked and soggy, with bits of hard crunch throughout l, the brocoli was undercooked, and unfavorable. The rice and broccoli was identical for my husband. The burger was cooked med well and also charred on top. Fries were fine. The waitress was unfocused, quite bothered ( unsure why) we did not complain or let her know anything and tipped well. Espresso martini was good. We asked for a booth and we're seated on the bar side despite booths on the dining side ( not a big deal) just was not the highlight of my dining in kind of night, more of a faster paced people in and out the door activities I'd get at Applebee's. Overall this deff will be our last time, we do not want reimbursement or an apology just a fare warning to better your business. Lakeland is growing faster than ever and competitors are hitting the mark without failure like this, downtown alone never-ending on s fl Avenue. Please check what goes out, educate your servers to spot health cautionary salad and...
Read moreUPDATED REVIEW 8/31/23: I've always enjoyed Bonefish, but this visit showed that they were lacking the quality that they once had. Once we sat down in bar area (1st come/1st serve tables), it took a while to have table cleaned and drinks ordered. The pace of service was that of a fine dining experience...non rushed, except it wasn't fine dining and we had to wait and want. Not going to slam the server, because she was obviously busy. Our party still enjoyed each other's company. The food, however, was sub par at best. Cod Imperial....not impressive....and we love that Imperial topping. Salmon with lemon butter and capers was dry and I had to request more capers because only 2 capers served didn't cut it. The new Kung Pao Brussels, which had been forgotten as they trayed our food, tasted overcooked with hot sauce dumped on it. The salad was GREAT though! I was bummed out that the beer selection diminished...looking forward to an IPA. Oh...and atmoshphere...the expo chef was just screaming all night for servers to run food....even when servers were right there...and I really loved the great view of the MICROWAVE as a centerpiece in the kitchen...haha, you could even see it from the outside entrance doors. I'm not against microwaves in restaurants and I know it serves a purpose, but Bonefish is supposed to be a bit more upscale in the way of corporate restaurants. Hide the microwave. I hope Bonefish can check themselves and rethink some things. Or maybe some other Corp should buy them. Sorry to rant....below is an older review of mine.
Great dinner. Had fish n chips. Tasty, but could've used more fish or less batter. Service was great. Very attentive...
Read moreI would have given 5 stars, but our recent visit we were disappointed with our server 0026. My husband and I love Bonefish Grill. Whenever we are in Lakeland, we plan on visiting this Bonefish Grill. I would give 5 stars for each visit as review for those times. We have always had a great server! This was the first time we were disappointed. After being the only ones in at the time of day, we were seated. I first aske about today's special, he had to go get one. Drinks? I requested G Louis Martini wine and requested it to be room temperature, I do not dink cold red wine. He said it is kept is 60 degree temperature. I told him, they have opened a new bottle for me, every time before.( In fact, it was at this Bonefish, I was introduced to this wine) Then my husband requested a flavored unsweet tea. He said they did not have any. My husband said he has had it every time we come. But, will take unsweet tea. Our beginning was NOT as we experienced before. (Tip has dropped) When he brought the tea he said "we do have Blue or Black berry flavoring and my husband said yes, and it was as before. My wine was at room temp as requested so now things are looking up. The bread and oil is awesome! Our meal was perfect as usual! We had never seen 0026 at this Bonefish, maybe he was new and not trained or something. He needs to be a bit more friendly and peppy as other servers have been. We took our usual Key Lime Cake to go. The first time it was sooooo good, this time it was stale and not fresh, it went in the garbage. This one incident will not stop us from going back to this Bonefish Grill, our special place when in Lakeland. We still gave...
