Dollar General — Attraction in Lake City

Always a problem when I go into this store. I only come here when the dg closer to my home is out of something I need. I shopped and got over $50 worth of things and 1 coupon did not come off. $3 off. I even asked the cashier if it did and she told me yes. When I looked at my reciept, it was not off. So I wait another 15-20 minutes in line again. I get the other cashier who was just helping another lady with her coupons. She looks at my phone, then hers and says that it's not a real coupon. I sign in and out and show her again. Then she says we'll it's not in my phone. She only had a $2 off of the same item. So I asked if she would atleast honor the $2 off since I wouldn't have bought all that shampoo if I knew the coupon wasn't going to work. She proceeds to take other costumers instead of finishing up with me and tells me to come back another day. It's 5:00 pm and they don't even close til 10 pm. Why would I want to come back another day over $2. Why have coupons if they never work and they don't want to ever honor it. My regular dg (one off Branford hwy right after s&s) always finishes up with their costumer before helping others and they honor their coupons without accusing them of fake coupons and always great costumer service! Store is always clean and love the remodel. I go to this store often as it's close to my house and it is always well maintained. They take pride in having a clean store. Lines can be long as this location stays busy. After the remodel I don't see the usual employees which kinda stinks because they were very friendly and familiar. It would be nice to have a few more cashiers on because of how much business they get but that isn't the employees fault at all. They do their best and it shows. Wish they would bring back the employees that have worked at this location for years because they are great employees and really made Me feel welcomed. After going to this store for 4 years seeing the same faces you form a relationship with them so it is kinda sad not to see them return after the remodel. They know our faces and our children. Dollar General is good for something's or if you want to just get one or two things but most things are over prices vs Walmart even though they make it seem like it's not. Dollar tree is the place to go everything's a dollar. Dollar generals are always cluttered and understaffed. I guess it's good for what it is and they are everywhere litterly everywhere so good for that one thing you forgot to bring on the way somewhere, in and out alot quicker then a...
