Essence Nail Spa Andy — Attraction in Port Charlotte

UPDATE!! Owner replied trying to say this wasn’t at his salon. I have attached my credit card transaction receipt to prove this is IN FACT the correct salon. Just another reason to avoid at all costs! Not a good way to do business. And Andy you were the one to paint my nails last. If you want to make it right, refund my money!

I went in for a gel mani pedi initially. And I asked for an eyebrow wax. The tech suggested gel dip powder and I told her I don’t like it for my nails (too thick) she insisted she would make it “natural” and it would last like 1 month. So I agreed. She completed my manicure and later I noticed that the nails seemed lumpy from all the excessive filing , and the paint was over on the edges. She also was supposed to wax my eyebrows and lip, and went ahead and waxed my whole face and charged me for it. This was in addition to my gel pedicure. In total I paid $137! I got home and the paint started chipping off my nails. I was so upset after spending so much money and being told they would last so much longer. I had to work the next few days but on my day off I went back and showed the owner. He seemed annoyed that I was unhappy and said he could remove them for me. Didn’t offer to re do them. As I sat there he and his wife talked back and forth and he muttered “do you want paint?” I told him that would be very nice. He removed my nails, cut them straight across, barely filed them, and painted them worse than the first time. Here I am not even a week later and this paint is chipping off as well. I’m not going back to this salon needless to say. I hope this review keeps someone else from going through what I did after investing my hard earned money supporting their salon. Essence Salon on Cochran Rd Port Charlotte Florida. Terrible! I took my sister in for her birthday- a complete set of nail with tips The tech was a male he was very rude condescending and extremely aggressive in doing the nails he messed up several times and had to do them muttering under his breath as if it was her fault at one pint she had tears he was so abrasive I quickly told him to take it easy Funny how the understand English when need be ! All in all the nails came out horrible My sister has set there for 90 mins and just wanted to go. After coming home everyone stated what an awful job was done. So today ( the very next day) I took her back and spoke to the manager/owner. He said they look perfectly fine. I explained respectfully they were lifting very rough to the touch and cuticals were bleeding do to his rough handling The manager stated he had no one to buff them and repaint I explained I want my refund of $80 and go to a worthy salon as my sister was very upset He refused the refund Said I’ll speak with the tech but no one was free to help now. Even tho one could see several ladies standing around talking spinning in chairs etc … he stated you must make an appointment So now it’s 12 pm and she has to go back at 5 pm for someone to smooth and repaint them which only solves one issue I’m sorry but I find this in th up most poorest service I’ve seen ! A full refund and a complete redo would have been appreciated but nothing she was very to the point and over spoke us.
