If you're a fan of gourmet cheeses, and live nearby El Monte, Gioia Cheese let's the public buy from them. Most of their customers are restaurants and gourmet markets. I first heard of Gioia when I found their burrata at Erewhon. I paid 13 bucks for a tub of burrata; at Gioia you pay 6 bucks. The staff at Gioia Cheese are very friendly & accomidating. More importantly, the cheeses here are made with whole milk, making the mozzarella taste so much better than many of the competitors out there who use powders instead.
