Hudson Escape Rooms — Attraction in Hudson

The Zombie room was a fun play! Lots of fun puzzles, but also some that didn’t quite follow logically which made playing more challenging. They mentioned they’re constantly working to improve the rooms and always changing things up, so it’s understandable that some aspects are still a work in progress. Still, it was a great time that I wasn’t expecting Hudson to have! We finished with 5 minutes to spare. Amethyst was super sweet and helpful. The atmosphere at the location is fantastic, the coolest waiting room of any escape room I’ve been to! Excited to play the Motel room!

UPDATE: We just played the motel room! Enjoyed this one more than Zombie Apocalypse! However, we had issues with a lock that was stuck and wouldn’t rotate in the room, and our time continued to count down even when the game guide came in to fix the issue, where typically it would be stopped until an issue like this was resolved. There were also things marked as “Display only” that we ended up needing, which was rather confusing. Finally, there were audio clips that gave information for the game that were rather difficult to hear, especially over the background music playing in the room. I do enjoy that these rooms both follow a nonlinear path, allowing you to solve some puzzles freely without any sort of order. The ending of this room was more satisfying in my opinion, we also finished this one with 5 minutes to spare. If you’re torn between the two, I would go for the motel room first!! Overall, both a...

Quite disappointed. I went with a group a few months ago to try the zombie apocalypse room. The room itself was very cool and different than what I’m used to in escape rooms. Unfortunately the game master was very new apparently and did not know how to properly set up the room. So while the puzzles seemed interesting, they either didn’t work properly or did not give us the correct keys. So we ended up finishing the room without even solving all the puzzles. With that being said I was willing to give them a second chance and try the other room. My partner and I were excited to find out the game master this time had been working there for a few months. However our excitement soon faded as we ran into the same issues with this room. Some of the puzzles just didn’t work and weren’t properly set up. We quickly got lost and ended up escaping with at least three puzzles left. We were told a new room is being built but I doubt we will have any faith that the room will be properly set up. The rooms do look cool though. Hopefully you have a better experience...

After leaving the review below, Hudson Escape Room contacted us to come back for free to give it another go, this time in the Zombie Room. Mackenzie, the Game Master was very helpful and even though we did not make it out of the room in an hour's time, we came very close, (20% success rate). We still had a great time. We will look forward to going back when they add new rooms.

Very disappointed. Seemed to be a disconnect to the story line. Lock/Keys did not work well. Combo locks had worn paint, causing us to not be able to finish the game. When we asked for a clue it took several minutes and several tries on the button before we received the clue. The combo locks had worn paint on them.
