Set Back Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Hudson

Went there New Years Eve with a lady friend and partied till the wee hours. Had a great time- the drink prices were reasonable, they provided a small buffet, dance music, and the atmosphere was upbeat! It's a shame they closed their doors and went o ut of business. The pub has had numerous owners and names over the years. Could be a money making place, but Skinnys down the road has a booming business and the parking lot is always overflowing. Hard to find a small neighborhood bar in Hudson. Dawns, on 52, always had a good following customer clientele, the drinks were also reasonable, they hired friendly bartenders, and the food was tasty, low priced, and you had prompt serving- not waiting a long time to get your food. Not real sure as to what happened But, Heather was gone and the bar just didn't have the same feeling as the last 15 or so times we started going There. Heather doesn't work there any more. I Was told Heather moved on to a place on the water . Sure didn't have the same spark as it did when heather was there. After all it was called Heathers sit back bar and grill. If I could give zero stars, I would. Darlene, the owner, was the most unprofessional and rude person I’ve ever witnessed running a business. She was more intoxicated than any of the patrons in the bar, and made a scene in front of everyone, picking fights with some of the customers that were there. It made our experience horrible and we left to the “bar next door” instead. If you can’t handle drunk people, don’t run a bar.
