Kentland Community Center — Attraction in Landover

I have talked to the staff here before and was ensured that if there were any issues concerning my two teenage Sons (12,14 ) they will contact me. My sons we're not told that it was mandatory for them to participate running drills 9 tonight. The volunteer told my sons that if they were not going to run the drills they have to go into the game room. So both of my sons attempted to go in the game room they told my son's no to get out of the Recreation Center, so my son's then called me after being put out. I told my children to go back in there sit down wait for me and keep their phone on just in case the woman approaches them I can hear what's she saying. So my son did what I asked him and of course that volunteer lady is going to approach my son and tell him to get out my son attempted to tell her my mother told me to sit here and wait to be picked up that volunteer said so if you're not running laps get out so. I snapped on her because he was following the orders of his mother ,and if there was an issue they should have contacted me and it was not told to them that it was a mandatory thing they are to run laps 9 at night. If they knew it was mandatory they would've been picked up by that time. And that is the dumbest most pettiest reason to kick a child that lives nowhere close to the rec walking wise to put a child out that is the most stupidest excuse to put a child out of a recreation because they did not want to run laps and we're following the rules to just go in the game room and you still put them out. I wish Miss Sasha was there cuz it wouldn't went down like that she wouldn't have put them out the wet for something stupid like that she will have contacted me to pick them up or informed me that what was happening 9 tonight I'm sorry if this message looks crazy cuz I'm still really upset this...

Their fitness area is many times not kept cleaned with used wipes all over the place or without any at all to clean equipment. They claim that they need you to leave the fitness area 15 minutes before closing (9pm), but I have been told to leave earlier than that. The morning crew is great, I wish I could say the same about the night crew. One lady today 8/25 told me that my membership had expired. She was sitting next to her pal eating while he was talking to me too. They both had a nasty attitude regarding my expired membership which I had been told that was extended until Sep because I got a one year long one and with Covid and the center closing multiple times for “safety” and power outage reasons, I was told it would be good until September. They kept saying there were no notes anywhere that indicates otherwise and explicitly told me that people there were not doing their jobs because I should have been told sooner because according to them it was good until July. More than 4 people will be notified of this then? Also, implying that a customer is trying to get in for free is a horrible way to be the professionals they claim to be. I will try going to a real gym next time which has a clean area policy, less obnoxious people and equipment in better condition. I was told by Kimara Holt they were off work for Easter break and It takes 3 signatures to approve one facility paper request. What kind of snail process is this? We are in the information age, and most processes are done electronically. The PG Parks and Recreations seems to be far behind. I had to wait a week and a half for an answer.
