This park is on the north shore and is right on the lake. The sites are large and adorned with plenty of trees. We had a very spacious pull through (#10) that had plenty of shade and, unfortunately, ants. They were everywhere.||Pros||The location. The size of the spaces. A convenience store on site along with a rental office for boats, bikes etc. A nice walking path across the street.||Cons||Little things need attention. The appearance when you check in is not inviting. Trash bins greet you when you drive through the gate along with tons of stuff strewn around. All of this should be shrouded behind a fence and kept out of site. A cheap fix. The men's room was a joke. One shower next to the urinal and two toilets. Absolutely no privacy. (Take a shower with two folks on the crapper less than 5 feet away, no thanks.) Again, fix this. No wifi. Get it, it's 2017. Dress up your marina. There is nowhere to sit. Pick up the junk and make it an inviting spot. It's on the lake. Use it to your marketing advantage.||Overall||We like the park and the price was right. It just seems like no one is addressing the obvious. Clean it up, hide the junk, do something about the restrooms, get wifi and spruce up the marina to make it more appealing. Oh yeah, those ants...

Read moreThis is a small family-owned park that sits right on the north shore of Big Bear Lake. They have 2 docks and a boat launch. They also have bike and kayak rentals. The park is well maintained and the family is very friendly and accommodating. Many of the lakeside spots are occupied by very friendly annual visitors. It's just a short walk to the lake from anywhere in the park. There is a large grassy common area with chairs, benches, picnic tables and fire pits. We camped at Lighthouse Trailer Resort in a Fifth Wheel. We never used our truck for transportation once we arrived. We rode our bikes everywhere. It's only 5 miles to the south shore with all the grocery, bars, restaurants, and gift shops. There is a walk/bike path most of the way and most of the streets have a bike lane. Across the street from the park is San Bernadino Natl Forest which also has biking and hiking trails. This is a big winter destination for skiing, but most everything was open for summer visitors. We rode our bikes for a wine-tasting and a few nice lunches on the south shore and picnicked and toured the Natl...
