I have been coming to Sequoia National Park ever since I was a little kid. Now with the times, there are changes to appreciate and things that are sadly neglected. That now add the opinion to order food at the snack bar & grill. The food is well cooked and delicious. The public showers are horrible left unclean with the walls stain and outdated. It also doesn’t help that there is also toilets and urinals therefore there are papers on the shower floors. The store is always stocked of what you need and what you want. Sadly, except for marshmallows for s’mores. I recommend to stop by for your essential needs.

This is the biggest visitor center in the park. You'll be able to buy souvenirs and enjoy a very large museum inside. Multiple rangers are stationed to assist you and answer questions. Seems like new ranger hires in May 2024 were here for the summer as well. There are restrooms around the building on the outside, and there's a free park shuttle stop in front of the building. There's a deceivingly high amount of parking.

This is a very nice visitor center and the young lady and rangers were very helpful. The worst part about it was the very nasty bathrooms. They were nasty in morning and nastier by late afternoon. No one cleans them I guess. Smh There is a gift shop and they also have a video playing about cleanliness in park, bears etc. I highly recommend stopping in to get guidance before touring park.

It was temporarily closed due to construction on may 3rd 2022. There was still a bit of snow on the side of the road. I always visit the visitor center of a national or state park. It's for free and provides a lot of information. You can ask for the best trails or views and you can inform yourself with some geofysical history and occuring wildlife or plants. A lot of free parking space.

Laundry is $2 per load for small washers, and dryers are 50 cents per 20 minutes. The coin machine wasn't working, so bring lots of quarters. We brought laundry pods, but the store sells them as well. We crammed a washer full and it took forty minutes to mostly dry. We had lunch and explored the visitor center and market while we waited. No wait for machines around 2pm on a Wednesday.

This area has campground. Public shower, small market place for campers are there. Marble Fork Kaweah River is flowing nearby.
