I moved in a few weeks ago and wanted to share my honest experience. Nearly all of the reviews youâll find are from people who toured, not actual residents.
The management team and office staff are excellent. I have no complaints there at all.
Have you ever moved somewhere and regretted it? This is me. The apartments themselves are beautiful, but they donât feel warm or inviting. The atmosphere leans more toward hotel or corporate housing, which might be fine if thatâs what youâre looking for. The location is in a revitalized area near RTP, which adds to that corporate feel. For families, itâs worth noting that the elementary school assigned to this community has very poor ratings.
Inside the apartment, noise hasnât been much of an issue. The problem is outside noise. Youâll hear the trains from time to time, which doesnât bother me, but the real issue is residents. One night I was awakened at 3:30 AM by loud music, drinking, and shouting in the courtyard. When I tried to call the courtesy officer, the call kept dropping. Another time a resident was literally building furniture in the hallway at 8 PM on a Sunday, there was materials and debris everywhere.
The WiFi is also spotty, which could be a serious problem if you work remotely like me. You are required to use the community internet provider and billed for it each month, with no option to choose your own ISP. I called the provider for support and they promised a tech call back, but I never heard from them.
Receiving mail is also an issue. Theyâll either leave it outside the building, wonât deliver it at all because the buildings are so massive they wonât even try or just leave it anywhere in the mail room. Iâve had to report three packages as lost already and I havenât been here two months yet. Imagine walking around these huge buildings looking for your packages. Not sure why they donât have Luxor One or a proper package room.
This move has been a regret and has taken a toll on my mental health. I have 17 more months until I can move out or pay hefty fees đ©. The apartments and amenities are nice, but the environment is cold. The residents treat the place like a hotel, and it does not feel like a community. In my opinion, itâs not a good fit for families or children. My child kept saying it didnât feel like home, and now that weâve been here a month, I agree.
If youâre looking for a cozy, family-friendly atmosphere, this is not the place. If youâre single or a young couple who likes a modern, hotel-style setting, you...
Read moreI looked at this community in January and was torn between here and The Row Raleigh (Kane Realty). I chose Nixie based on the following:
First class customer service from the office/leasing team. I specifically worked with Nicole, Jessica, and Nakia. Nicole didnât give a basic tour of the community, but she also presented you with interesting facts about the RTP area
They offered a very generous move-in special
Although still under construction, this is an unbeatable location. If youâre familiar with the Triangle area, Hub RTP has Fenton Cary vibes with retail at your doorstep and Boxyard in walking distance. Renderings at hub.rtp.org shows the areaâs potential
You canât beat the access to the RTP trails on 54 and Davis Drive. There is also a beautiful, well lit boardwalk/outdoor area for you to lounge or enjoy a picnic
They really paid attention to detail with the design of the community. These are smart apartments so you can control your lights, door, and thermostat from the app. There is covered parking attached to the building and you park on the same floor of your apartment. The closets have Elfa shelving from the Container Store so you can customize your own closets (a generous coupon to the store is provided upon move-in)
Iâve been very satisfied with my overall experience. A big thank you to Robyn and Dailah, the Apartment Life Coordinators, for organizing well thought out events. We recently had Bouquets and Brunch that fell on Motherâs Day weekend. I would definitely recommend this community to anyone thatâs looking for a new place...
Read moreFor months and months, on my drive home I passed this beautiful community. I outgrew my old space - and was looking to make a move to a larger, modern, stylish space that I could call home for a while. Comfort, privacy, security, and sense of community, were all features that I tailored this search around - as well as big windows. One Saturday morning, I gave it a shot and pulled up to take a tour. From the moment I stepped foot on the property, Nicole Thomas made me feel right at home. I was greeted with a smile, and an amazing attitude. I told her what I wanted, and she provided me with multiple options to satisfy my need, and wants as well. Throughout the leasing process, there wasnât a moment when I felt rushed. I didnât feel like a âsaleâ, I was handled with professionalism, patience, and care. On move in day, Nakia Marsh and Jessica got me squared away in a seamless and timely manner, and have been nothing but eager and engaged in finding solutions to any issues that have presented themselves in this process. Being a new community, there are small hiccups and Paul in maintenance, accompanied by Noah, have done a stellar job in handling any issues I have had in an efficient and professional manner. To make a long story less long, itâs an honor and a pleasure to call this place home. The sense of community I was looking for has been found, it has been an amazing experience thus far, and I look forward to laying my head here for...
