Google like atmosphere, Dogs and all.
This place is new to me, and I have lived and worked in or around RTP for 11 years. I was invited to a workshop being hosted here in one of their small meeting rooms. You walk into a bit of a open atrium feeling with chairs scatted about and glass partitions. You check in and find a space to work or are politely pointed to your meeting space. The space has big open areas w/ WiFi, comfy chairs and tables around. It is very collaboration friendly.
They have rooms for rent for 10 to 300 people that have the basics needed for any professional meeting, including Wall mounted TV monitors and all the needed A/V hook ups to project your presentation. The rooms have narrow tables, White boards and markers.
The place had a very Google vibe to it. People walking around with their dogs. Polite conversations going on in small groups, and even picnic tables inside when grabbing a bite to eat from the food trucks that make an appearance regularly.
Everything from the "decorated Bulls" working bee hives and even a giant Chess board set up in the parking lot seem to foster some creativity, relaxation and comfortable working atmosphere to get work done.
Parking, while free, it was also very full causing me to have to park in a lot across the street. Their lack of parking on the day I went could very well have been due to the half dozen Food Trucks taking the space in front of...
Read moreFree dog-friendly coworking?! Can’t beat it! Absolutely loved it! I went for the first time on a Friday, 5/31/24. The floor was bigger and better than I could’ve imagined! As a 100% WFH person, it was great having a change of scenery in a very well thought out space full of amenities. There were ample seating options to choose from all around the floor — pods, tables, desks, etc. I brought my dog (passersby loved him) & chose to sit in the open concept self-serve refreshment area. For lunch, we took the short walk across the parking lot to Barkyard Dog Park. We then grabbed lunch at the adjacent Boxyard where I worked the rest of the afternoon in the shade. Their outdoor seating & free WiFi were great! I plan to return soon. Only thing I wish the Frontier building had in its parking lot was a dog poop...
Read moreMy job officially closed their RTP office last summer, and while I love working from home full time, I do love having the option to meet up with coworkers in person as well! The coworking space at The Frontier is so perfect. You need a membership, but it is free to sign up online. There are so many seating options and small conference rooms to utilize there. The best part is the space is dog-friendly so I love to bring my dog to work with me! It is a short walk over to Boxyard for lots of delicious, local food options as well. They also offer lots of different events and happy hours you can find online or their social media....
